Fantastic idea. Those big hairy old Norse guys don't scare me!
It would involve the alteration of the words to a few classic pop songs, but after a while I'm sure Manic Sodit, Ruby Wimpy, Wibble Morning 3am etc etc will be seen to be a major improvement, especially Dontbry bloody Dontbry.The Poets the 13th film might be considerably less scary though.
The months of the year would need an overhaul as they would look tired and boring against the brand spanking fresh days of the week. May I be the first to get the ball rolling on this one with my humble proposals of:
Awful, Worse, Boing, Ting, Parp, Whoop, Wheep, Phwoar, Wow, Crunch, Urgh and Krimbo.
Beginning with Awful for January, I believe these names would work well with the proposed days of the week. Today for example would be Thing 5th Wheep.

Lemme see that would mean I was born on Wibble 28th Wow! Sounds pretty 
But I think we might generate a lot of enemies is someone was born on the 1st Poets of Awful (especially if their profession was in, say, the lyrical arts. 
)

This looks like a nice quiet conversation. I think I'll hide out here for a while. Shea will never find me now that I have an....Irish Accent!! **chortles at own cleverness, digs pit, hides inside it**
BTW, the Thingite calendar looks excellent. I particularly like the month of Phwoar although I think it should always be followed by 3 exclamation marks as in:-
"Look at that pretty girl!"
"Phwoar!!!"
This would also mean that Neil Diamonds "Hot August Night" album would become "Hot Phwoar!!! Night" which, I'm sure you will agree, is a definite improvement.

I think Craig David is a thingite wannabe - after all just listen to his epic 'Seven Days':
'I met her Sodit, took her for a drink on Wimpy, we were making love by Wibble and on Thing, Poets...' etc etc
I think he could be a great asset to the Thingite cause particularly as he is about to try and 'break' America.
