Go fly a Kite!
shazzPRME Posted May 5, 2000
8shazz wanders back complete with super deluxe kit-assmbly kite which resembles an eagle*
I am just going to climb to the top of that hill and run down again! Anyone care to join me? I want to see if this one will work! With all these guide ropes I am worried that it may become rather tangled!

Sounds like a good reason to stay out of the way! *adjusts binoculars* I'll watch you all from here, and I need to keep an eye on the horse, too.

Irving Washington - Gone Writing Posted May 5, 2000
*Enters with Kite that looks like a bird*
It's beautiful, isn't it? The way the wings curve? My grandfather gave it to me. Just before he passed away, he was thinking about opening a Kite store, as something to do in his retirement...
*flies kite, at peace with the Universe*

shazzPRME Posted May 6, 2000
*Having reached the top of the hill, shazz proceeds to run down and the kite soars gracefully into the sky. Shazz manages to avoid the guide ropes getting tangled until the eagle spots IW's bird kite and takes a dive at it*
Heeeeeeeeeeeelpppppppppppp!! This kite has a mind of it's own! Watch out IW!!

*runs like the dickens away from Shazz's kite*
Go fly a Kite!
shazzPRME Posted May 7, 2000
*shazz struggles valiantly to try and keep the kite under some sort of control, but fails as a sudden gust of wind tugs her off her feet.
She finds herself floating out over the beautiful scene spread below her, but is somewhat alarmed to see that she is being pulled higher and higher, up inot the clouds*
Errrrrrrrr..... help??!!

Go fly a Microlite!
Babel17 Posted May 7, 2000
*puttering along in his microlite*
Those Magnificent Men,
In Their Flying Machines,
They Go Updiddy Up Up
They Go Downdiddy Down Dow...Jesus!
*swerves to avoid Shazz who appears suddenly in an updraft*
Hold On, Shazz.
* zooms in and guides microlite to a position where he can grab trailing guyrope and proceeds to tow Shazz back down to the relative safety of the meadow*
There you go!
Go fly a Microlite!
shazzPRME Posted May 8, 2000
* sighs gratefully*
Thank you Babel 17 I was starting to get rather worried there! I think that I will stick to flying my other kite... it is far better behaved

Babel17 Posted May 8, 2000
You are welcome, Shazz.
*starts checking over Microlite so that he doesn't have to do it later when he leaves. Once done B-17 opens the picnic hamper attached to the 'lite and proceeds to spread out a rug, chilled bottle of Pinot Grigio, various assorted picnic foods, and sits down to enjoy*
Go fly a Microlite!
Garius Lupus Posted May 8, 2000
*Sits down next to picnic spread while still holding kite string. Kite is a small green spec in the sky.*
Looks like you could use a hand with some of that food, B17.
*Nonchalantly takes a chicken leg.*

Guys, there is plenty so help yourselves.
There are extra glasses in the hamper, along with plates, cutlery and napkins. There is also a flask of tea and one of this months Special Blend coffee, if anyone would prefer that.
GL you might want to tether that kite btw, we don't want you drifting off unexpectedly.
Nice Daisy Chain Andromeda
