ioreth, forgive an aged english-type person, but is the DC metro as bad as the London Undergound? (I assume the DC metro is a sort of rapid transit system ( the LU isn't (rapid that is))

The DC Metro is rapid compared to trying to drive on DC's surface streets, if memory serves...

*Walks in for a morning double espresso, checks around and decides his best bet is the IIEM.*
There appears to be a faint smell of burnt Mike in here.

Haven't been here for ages. My morning coffee has worn off, and I medically need another one. Arg...coursework to do for tommorrow... I have to do it today, as tommorow's the last day before the holidays, so we'll all have some serious marathon pubbing to do.

Hi everybody.
*Sees Mike is gone from pentagram and sweeps up sand* There are pawing marks here -- Ferarri must have let him out.
*goes to IIEM for morning tea and helps herself to an apple spice donut*
You know, I am beginning to wonder what this place will be like when the summer holidays arrived. I fear we are going to lose a lot of regulars. Even our Mike is going to Australia...

Morning Lil, I suspect that there might be one or two large parental phone bills come summer and us goofing off w*** types will still be hanging round (if the PHBs don't get us).
*Waits for the IIEM to dispense Lil's tea then asks for a double espresso*

Oh yeah, the _workers_ will still be around, as ever.
*sniffs*
That's not burnt Mike, that's the campfire.

*Groan* Lots of RL work today Very little time for café-ing. And I fear that it's not only regulars who won't be around the Aroma much this summer. I myself don't spend much time online when at home, though I plan to do a bit more this summer than usual. So if I'm not around as often... that's why
*Sets IIEM to autopilot and serves everyone here a fresh coffee*

BTW, Irv, when does your term end? On the campus where I work, tomorrow is the last day of classes, but then exams start. I'm not sure how long they run, but I think it is pretty close to the end of the month.

I like the Metro - and I didn't mind the Underground. Compared to the Philadelphia subway system it's sparkling clean, and zippy, and just a pleasant experience.
I'll take hot cocoa...
Should be at school but I was "sick" today so I could catch up on my sleep.
This summer I'm gonna be travelling around Israel, so nothing from me. But when I get to kibbutz I should be good for next year.
