Well, as he totally ignores us, why don't we totally ignore him? I suppose every popular place has to have its resident schiz.
Hi guys, regular tea with milk and sugar for me. Have the doughnuts come in?
Irv, you moved the IIEM up against the wormhole to the book nook. I found out by accident. But I needed to get down there and freshen up anyway, so no harm done. Do you mind if I post a URL here to the latest IW book nook general discussion?
It's http://www.h2g2.com/forumframe.cgi?forum=29359&thread=45510

*washes up*
Doesn't it get complicated when you're asked to write about only a certain area of books? The original book conversations were popular as anyone could join in and discuss any book, and now the idea has sadly died off

Gosh, you can go on discussing any books! Just like activities go on next to the main coffee bar here. It's just that there wasn't a discussion in the main hall, and just about everything had died off. Anyhow, who's to say you can't discuss any book in the subject of Earth Lit? That's not what I'd call a narrow range ... I just wanted to find a new way of defending one's favourite books is all.
*reaches for apple spice donut*
So you were away for a few days?

Bluebottle Posted Apr 3, 2000
Indeed I was - which was very annoying, and is very confusing now as I have a week's worth of forums to catch up with, not to mention the ACE group and other H2G2 mailing lists... 400 e-mails to read... What a lot to do.

And you didn't even mention real life
It was a quiet weekend on the lists, though (at least)...
To save you tracking down the history, I have my art studio on your beach now! I'm in the attic room of Crater Labs, Inc. Just moved in this weekend.

Lil, is it safe to ask the IIEM for a double espresso ? I know I get less caffeine but the taste is superb

You go right ahead, luv.
I'll have to be off for a while now. The Great Wall of Jello is enveloping my net connection, and I can hardly access fora any more. If you're still around in six hours, I'll see you then.

Hello folks. Not sure who is here now ....
*walks over to the IIEM and makes himself a majic tea*

Irving Washington - Gone Writing Posted Apr 3, 2000
*checks to make sure the IIEM is working properly*
What can we do about the Fiend? Who keeps handing him coffee? ::Sigh::
I'm afraid I've got major writting to be done today, so if you need me, you'll have to wait However, I'v made sure that the IIEM isn't malfunctioning... I've changed the filter and put in a new Brownian Motion Source, so it shouldn't go haywire.
I'll be in intermittently

*a certain pounding can be heard outside*
It's Mike and Ferrari!
*Ferrari throws Mike through a window*

Mike A (snowblind) Posted Apr 3, 2000
Uh, sorry about that...uh, I'll tody it up, uhhhh.
*sweeps up glass, sheepishly grinning*
Now, the hole...
*parks himself in the empty hole so the wind can't get in*
Hey, Fiend, I got lots more caffiene for you here if you want it ...

Mike A (snowblind) Posted Apr 3, 2000
I have a plan...but don't think I'm going to be mean.

*Lil can be heard talking firmly to Ferrari outside just before she comes in*
Did y'all know Ferrari used to be a professional bronco in a rodeo? I'll have to dig the details out of my correspondence and tell the story when Irv's here. Mike has already heard it.
Mike, I've warned Ferrari that all the windows are gradually being replaced with tempered stained glass, and he'll do you an injury if he tries that again.
This is probably the only chance I'll get to stop by this afternoon. So scuse me if I talk a lot. Net jello, don't you know.
*gets white sweet coffee from IIEM*
Yknow, I left fiend a message yesterday asking him not to mess with our local continuity. Given the time he comes through I make him at most a high school student, and probably from the midwest US. We'll probably wind up having to shun him. Such a silly business.
Greebo must be extremely busy not to have stopped here today...

Doesn't she have a fairly major RL event coming up in a week or so that she may be planning for?

Inunno!
Lil, what you says sounds a little extreme. But we have cautioned him. Maybe he'll behave.
Oooh, I feel so bad about talking about somebody behind their back.
Key: Complain about this post
