It's never too late to read Tove Jansson.
I hadn't read this story, too. It's not translated into my language and I never read TJ in English. It doesn't make any sense as her books are not written in English.

I'm english, have been all my life and her books don't make sence to me either. Then again I am dyslexic and have never read them, but still.

Sure it is like that, only you leave and when you come back, you hear things that have been shouted back in response, even though the shouters are long gone.
And no alcohol.

Hatifnat, your page is hidden again. That must be some sort of record.
IIEM, a coffee, a bowl of water, and a moderatté please.

I suppose it is a bit like shouting in a bar...except nothing costs anything
IIEM, another latte please.

well, I put it up again. How can I avoid this thing happening?

Freedom Posted Sep 10, 2001
I guess it might be the link to the story, since the story is copyright...could they really be that picky?

Hati Posted Sep 10, 2001
First time it was the story, then it was the postcard and now it was the gif-picture. I am really confused.

It happened again! 4th time! Now it was again the gif.
Does anybody of you know a proper place to show out my confusion and discontent?

Can't make up their minds, can they?
I guess there's always that forum where you can go with questions about moderation, it might be on the support page or at least linked from there...
In the meantime, have some

Uhm, Freedom? Zeppo's not here right now - that's a cardboard cutout you're cuddling. Zeppo's in the Majic Forest.
Hatifnat, maybe it's not the content of the pages you link to, but the annoying multiple window advertisements that they cause to pop up. But I don't recall that being a problem in the House Rules, so long as the link is valid. Maybe you should try to write a guide entry on Jansson.
Well, I'm off to w*rk. See you all soon.

Hati Posted Sep 10, 2001
Well, I tried to write an entry about Jansson but it's still not ready. I have these language problems you know.
About the links they announce that they're broken. This gif-thing is only a picture on empty page, no popups and such.

Oh dear...how embarrasing...my eyesight isn't what it should be atm. But I did think it felt a little strange...
Hati, I believe I once read in the moderation forum that putting a comment after the problematic links might work (something like "unreliable/slow server, link may appear broken at times"). Not sure if the moderators regard it though.

IIEM Cup of please.
I thought they were Hattifatteners,at least thats whatit says in the copy of Finn family moomintroll, my son has borrowed from my sister. Not that she ever read them, I did, and they made sense to me at the time, but there again I tend to be a bit confused anyway.

There is a swedish saying that, roughly translated, says "Love gives many names" In Sweden they are Hattifnattar.

Freedom: Every time they tell me that any of these links are broken, I check them all. They all work. Mods are evil!
IIEM, a moderatté, please. *puts moderatté on the table where it's [removed by moderator]*
In English they are Hattifatteners, yes. But in other languages there are several ways to spell it:hattifnatters in Dutch, Hatifnattarna in Swedish, hatifnatternes in Danish, hattivatit in Finnish, les hatifnattes in French, hatifnatter in Norwegian and Hatifnat in Estonian.

I'm glad that one's cleared up.
How did we get on to this in the first place?
I must have missed something yesterday.
Thanks for the tea.

I am complaining here about my links page with hatifnat related links. It disappears several times a day as moderating service thinks that some of the links may be broken.
