I love the bewildered looks on people's faces at work when I wish them a Happy Towel Day.
When not sitting on my towel, I've taken to folding it up and carrying it draped over one arm like a waiter.

Well Happy towel day.
This day twelve years ago I was cycling in Sweden (a long trip that took five weeks). I displayed my towel prominently on my back carrier and excited no notice whatever.

This is the first towel day in many years that I haven't been away at a motorcycle rally. It's also the first towel day since I bought my Don't Panic inscribed towel. But did I bring it to work? Nope. 
I sit in a locked room by myself with no one to share the day with. Besides, I have a towel I keep at work anyway.
No one would understand here anyway (nor would they bother asking).

Happy Towel Day!
I've brought my towel to work, but it hasn't seen anybody yet - it probably will do this afternoon, as I need to take photos!

I've taken mine to work and wished everyone I meet a 'Happy Towel Day' – I love the bewildered look on people's faces. I've carried it with me everywhere I've gone – including around Southampton city centre at lunchtime (CEX, Loft Ladder, Forbidden Planet) but no-one seemed to notice that carrying a towel is anything unusual. I've not seen anyone else with a , though.

Every day is Towel Day chez moi.
I have bath towels [white, dark navy, dark green, maroon], hand towels [same colors], dish towels, light-colored towels that I take to the swimming pool [pink, light blue, gold, and light green], and paper towels.
Amazingly, only the paper towels fail to survive the washing machine cycles.
