Hello, Polly.
I haven't investigated GuideML yet, but must say that I'm rather miffed that it can't be used in postings. However, I the predefined inline "smileys".

I just keep returning to "My space" and that gives links to most things. I have a link to "The Bull Outhouse" posted in my Personal Space message. Have you looked?

Oooooh
That means I can do this:
<(*I* asked for that feature! )>
so people know what I'm talking about if feeling lost.
And what a good feature it is too.

No trouble... so far. At the moment, I say thank goodness for Firefox's tabbed browsing. While I am making my first tentative in this new medium, I'm referring to all sorts of h2g2 help pages.

A bit complicated.I feel like I watching someone play a modern fruit machine with 20 different buttons all flashing at once.
Not for the faint hearted or the feeble minded.

Hiya, bhb4...
I kind of understand how you feel. On the bright side, before Mustardland switches over there'll be a *lot* of development work done on it to give us the features we've requested. For the time being, this place is just a good place to play with some of the new features.

Thanks for this Peet - I've been registered on h2g2 for a while but hadn't really bothered finding conversations to join. Now there some faces I know, I feel a bit more at home....think I still prefer Mustardland but it's nice to have a choice of places to visit when you want to go out isn't it ?

PS Do we have a licence for cyber drinking. I know the new licencing laws are a bit of a minefield but they must have thought of this...surely !!!

Is there any way of going straight to the last message posted on a thread rather than by using those arrows on the side?
I also can't work who is replying to whom.
