Ah, that's all down to how the link is structured. I think if there is an &show=latest (would need to check that it is correct) the link would bring you directly to the most recent comments in this thread.

we're in a unique position here in that the community have a say in what happens. More than that, the community run the site on a day to day basis, have a say in the bigger decisions, and have a seat on the board of the parent company. where else on the internet would you find that? Douglas may no longer be with us, but his pioneering spirit certainly is.

I'm back! Let all rejoice! I don't participate much on H2G2 but I really want to maintain my researcher status. I'm glad to be back. Or transferred. Or transitioned. Or etc.

Tried to get on H2G2 a few months back and couldn't, now the new-fangled tomfoolery has allowed me back in. Huzzah! (just me then) Don't think I've logged in for about five years but it's all shiny and old, just the way I remember it. Used to love it on here because it wasn't just a load of trolls. Hope it's still a nice (and slightly mad) place to chill.

im back! i think? i wasnt really here the first time even when i registered, i was still in lurking mode. i found i prefered to read, rather than write. but now im 62 years old i feel young enough to take part in the madness

I have returned after a 5 month hiatus, nice to see so many people returning, and some familiar names as well

Great to be back. Before finally letting go, Auntie beeb did something weird to the settings a while back, which stopped me being able to log on (and it appears I wasn't alone with this...)
But now it's all good!
Great to see the place livening up again...so, time for a party!
