Crazy as it may sound, the site could survive with a combination of community consortium and donations from DNA-related persons. Something to bear in mind.

You have special reasons to be with the FSM faith, Pierce. Humans are descended from pirates, and may often be pirates themselves.

Chthulu Fhtagn!
Great sentiments. Last time Chthulu invited me out on a cheap date (after I'd said, "Do not engage me!", but left travel expenses to me to sort out, I did the obvious. ("big grin" smiley omitted since the auto-nanny is still nixing smileys on barlesque, but only for that reason.)

Fred Moved.
No, really. If he takes over h2g2 it'll all be over. The man's a blaggard and an oik of the first water.

I'm sure Fred Moved is a real person, Gosho. Does he go by another name that could be Googled?

I'd like to see someone like Sting throw some bucks at us.
It'd be nice if some of his medieval music was playing in the BG.

My uncle was a Mason, and my grandmother belonged to the Eastern Star. For what it's worth, Austria's current national anthem uses a them from Mozart's "Masonic Cantata." It's not one of Mozart's best, and it replaced a masterwork that Haydn wrote for the sole purpose of being a national anthem. So much for the masons.
