I use Ecover soap powder and softener. The clothes do smell nice but it's not overpowering like Ariel etc. I have no idea what soap powder my mother in law uses but when the wee one's been to stay she always washes her clothes. They reek of soap powder

I don´t know wether this is advertising stupidity or cleverness. My flatmate has a magazine about reptiles, and on the back there is an add for a product you can use in their terrariums. It´s a form of fake clay, to allow them to do burrowing. It lists the different qualities of it, and it seems it essentially has nothing about it that clay doesn´t. So instead of buying this fancy expensive synthetic clay, why not just get hold of some clay?

"Who will you support?" The bloody BBC trying to drum up interest in a competition that all the home nations failed to qualify for, and presumably outbid ITV for the rights to show.
Look, you've already wasted that money. Stop wasting more of it trying to get us interested.

Presumeably the synthetic clay is 'cleaner' or something and wont carry infections for your creature to catch. Same thing with fake rocks for fish tanks...
Because you cant sterilise rocks
I did laugh at the football ads... I know I'll end up watching it with my mate anyway, but not iwith *that* much interest!

One reason for fake rock for fish tanks is that not all rocks are suitable. Limestone will make the water harder, for example, which some species can't cope with.

I understand that, I was being a little flippant.
But the same point could go for some forms of clay too

When reading it, I just thought synthetic clay would be less prone to bacteria? *shrug* Maybe it works out cheaper than real clay, needs to be replaced less?
These Euro 2008 football ads, who will you support... The idea of watching 'Jonny Foreigner' kick a ball about is less appealing than sucking the toes of space monkeys that landed in a sewage farm.
Hearing shouts that the score is 1-1 2-1 3-1 yes and beating 'em 5-1 yes; not even being in it, nah.
I feel they are bad adverts, as the Beeb is "flogging a dead horse."

Rather than picking a team, we are having a 'total goals' sweepstake at work. Ah well, it's not like we can moan about not being in the tournament though. Putting a team on the pitch would be a start!

You're Freddy.

But... well I have met you. And you are a good sort.
