Nope - I got my job when my hair was fairly short, and they've watched in horror as it grew

Actually, I'd say yes, and get a hat if you haven't got one. So that's a yes.

And your girlfriend is right. You don't have to look at you, she does. So that's a yes.

And as you say you wouldn't mind having your hair shorter, and she is apparently very keen that you should, you could easily make her happy, which would make you happy. So that's a yes.

I had a haircut today. Number 3 all over. Feel much better for it. I'm going to trim my beard now.

Cut it yourself, not too short, try to go for a Quatre Cent Coup kind of look. I've been doing that myself for years, and not being a stylist have failed to achieve the scruffy unkempt do i was after and instead ended up with an ordinary done instead. But i will persist

Shave half completely - either the front or the right hand side - and leave the rest long. That way, you get the best of both worlds
