Which just goes to show that we're all still indoctrinated with male/female stereotypes. I mean, why shouldn't a girl say "all right, darling" to you without thinking you were male? I would have thought crossovers would be the first to try and do away with these stereotype ideas. However, your frustration is understandable. Z and Xan and Huffers and all you others will probably find your nice friendly girls when you no longer have the need to contribute to this thread. Maybe re-wording it to "nice friendly person?" in your minds?

I guess so, I mean that they're no reason why she might have known.. I have to admit I tend to be the last one who assumes that people think I'm male, and I am a very negative person... so it could be that she didn't know! there are several times when I thought people knew when I didn't know.

And when I think about it, I've been called, "sir" in shops at least twice since, and never anything else.... so I'm probably just being paranoid..

and this does make be acutley aware of all gender sterotypes!

I'm looking for a nice friendly person... but I think I have trouble believing that ayone worth having could interested in anything long term and I'm bored with one night stands and I think heading into anything long term so soon after loosing someone that ment so much to me and as much as I hate to credit her was vastly more attractive than I can expect to achieve again [36DD breasts, 23"waiste and 37" hips, long legs cute little bum, the most erotic lips, the cheekiest smile and glint in her sexy eyes.... etc..., IQ of 158, same tastes in everything except friends and music...].

that's exactly how I feel about "her" my ex who still haven't split up with mentally! I just can't help thinking that she's the best I'll get, and we had the advange of coming from almost identical backgrounds, to the extend that we both had two youngher brothers and the first both had the same name

I'm 20...... I s'pose I should focus on my own gay side but I'm not in the physical or emotional condition and I've only ever had pone serious long term thing with a guy... and I really feel what I need is to feel secure in a relationship...

Urhm from your user space I can't quiet work out if you're male or female, not that it matters coming from me but still.. if you are female, then in my lesbian experience, it was a lot easier to maintain a relationship with a woman than my friends found with a boy.. and I found gay women to be less critical of a body and more likely to like someone for a person..

If you're a man, then well done, serious emotional relationships on planet gay are, in the experience of my 3 housemates, difficult to achieve with the constant temptations of the gay scene down the road!

Ah bless, the nice friendly people will come along soon, i think that everyone looks for more than that though, compatability is probably a better word, and the people who said their ex's were the best they think they will ever get then why did they break up? there must have been something wrong with the dynamics of the relationship, but as long as you are quite a stable, loving person i see no reason why a long term relationship with someone compatible seems unattainable.
