My son found that one out for himself when he was about 7 years old. Out in the back garden he threw a brick up into the air and stood and watched it come down, got him straight on the forehead. One trip to the hospital and seven stitches and a headache later I think he learned his lesson 
Still didn't knock any sense into him tho

I do, however, need some grapes or hops and yeast as well...
I made some home-brew when I was at uni. Tasted awful - but by the end of the first pint, you didn't care!
