NuclearConfusion -Not a lot of money in the revenge business Posted Jul 1, 2005
...dang. These are both ... resonating, but I just can't place either.
Eh.
Okay, Neutron walks into a bar, asks how much for a beer.
Bartender looks at him, says, "For you, no charge!"
...'cause he's a neutron. No charge...
Eh.
Okay, two atoms are walking down the street. Suddenly one starts feeling his pockets and looking around on the ground.
The other one asks what is wrong.
First one says "I just lost an electron!"
Second "Are you sure?!"
First "Yes, I'm positive!"
...loses an electron, makes him positive...
Eh.
...
!
Okay, Gasoline, Kerosene, Diesel, and Hydrazine are in their car on a roadtrip down the highway, when their car runs out of gas. So Gas says to Kero, "Let's get Hydrazine to get in the gas tank and fuel the car until we get to a service station. He's really gullible and will fall for it!"
But Hydrazine overhears them talking, and says, "No way I'm doing that, you guys! I'm nobody's fuel!"
...nobody's fool... fuel...
Okay, What?! I was hanging out with some geek friends of mine this morning. Needed to unload. ...or is it download?
Eh. Well, enough science jokes for now. I'm done being the ...half-life of the party!
Next quote, please!

THREE-FOR-ONE SUNDAY SPECIAL!
3)
"You wear too much eye makeup. My sister wears too much. People think she's a whore."
4)
"I do have a test today. that wasn't bullshit. It's on European socialism. I mean, really, what's the point? I'm not European. I don't plan on being European. So who cares if they're socialists? They could be fascist anarchists. It still doesn't change the fact that I don't own a car.
Not that I condone fascism, or any -ism for that matter. -Ism's in my opinion are not good. A person should not believe in an -ism, he should believe in himself. I quote John Lennon, "I don't believe in The Beatles, I just believe in me." Good point there. After all, he was the walrus. I could be the walrus and I'd still have to bum rides off of people."
5)
"In 1930, the Republican-controlled House of Representatives, in an effort to alleviate the effects of the... Anyone? Anyone?... the Great Depression, passed the... Anyone? Anyone? The tariff bill? The Hawley-Smoot Tariff Act? Which, anyone? Raised or lowered?... raised tariffs, in an effort to collect more revenue for the federal government. Did it work? Anyone? Anyone know the effects? It did not work, and the United States sank deeper into the Great Depression. Today we have a similar debate over this. Anyone know what this is? Class? Anyone? Anyone? Anyone seen this before? The Laffer Curve. Anyone know what this says? It says that at this point on the revenue curve, you will get exactly the same amount of revenue as at this point. This is very controversial. Does anyone know what Vice President Bush called this in 1980? Anyone? Something-d-o-o economics. 'Voodoo' economics."
They upped me to 13 classes a week now. 5 on Tuesday alone...

I'm back from the 4 cats in Amsterdam, had a nice time with the cats and the town.
Rode on my bike along the canals and visited a new Music- Building on the IJ (a water). The building is beautiful, wide spaces , built with concrete, wood and glass and on the waterfront an enormous terrace . Unfortunately the performance was a Swiss play (in German), but after it we sat on the terrace and had a nice and the weather was perfect.

Jay Posted Jul 4, 2005
cathrennes, I think after a few even I could enjoy a Swiss play performed in German in Amsterdam...
Cigardener, where ya been? And why not guess?
C'mon...
Bueller. Bueller. Bueller. (Ben Stein was great...I had a teacher like that in school.)
OK, my turn, I'll post the quote soon.

BOOYAH!
Correct you are, sir!
Yeah, that was an easy one. Since our host Haikeeba is not around, I'll officially welcome you to the lounge...I don't remember seeing you around here before. But come in, make yourself comfy, grab a at the bar, and by the way, since you guessed correctly, it's your turn to throw out a movie quote.

Lady Pennywhistle - Back with a vengeance! [for a certain, limited value of Vengeance; actual amounts of Vengeance may vary] Posted Jul 8, 2005
It seems kinda obvious, really... but since I haven't actually seen the movie(s) - or read the book(s) - it seems more fair to leave it to someone else.
Oh, and welcome from me too, by the way. *Waves*

Spoooooock!
Yeah, hey welcome! The worm IS the spice. I think we've had Dune already once, yes? Maybe not... Maybe it's not Dune but some other 'spice' movie. "Spice Girls take over the Universe!"
Hopefully not, Dune yes?
Frickin' typhoon weather here now. Hot, but the rain is POURING down. Wind, lightning, real Wrath-of-God type stuff. Car nearly hydroplaned and then got tossed by the wind while driving to class on Thursday. [Insert HHGTTG 'Thursday' reference here.]
So I've been very busy lately with work, as you know.
As many of you may know, I'm kind of (kind of or king of?!) a Star Wars geek from way back. Right now in Japan there's this huge wave of Star Wars stuff 'cause Ep.III just came out. Fortunately, this wave also includes the classic Holy Trillogy. I often stop by a local convinience store to buy fizzy caffiene drinks for my drives to various companies for work. Right now when you buy Pepsi products, you get a free mini Star Wars figure (love Japan!) Anyway, today I just kind of off-handedly asked the dude working there what they will do with the cool Darth Vader promo stuff when they are done with them and he said he'd give it all to me! He even gave me a giant silkscreen promo banner today that they had an extra of. Snap! Gonna have a huge Darth Vader one soon. Total cheer-up day this is.
Tomorrow I'm going to visit a castle near Kyoto (holy moly, free time?!!!). Should be interesting, though the weather might be a problem. Ah well.
