PLEASE EXCUSE OUR DUST
Updated 29/5/'05INTRODUCTION Hi. I'm Bob from a not-very-big-town somewhere in the midwest. We do have a large state university at which I work. It may be pointless to say this, but I love the works of DNA in all their various forms and I'm glad the movie was finally made. My feelings about it are mixed: the main thing is that my interest in Adams was re-kindled after a long period of dormancy. Also, I found this sight by following links from the movie site. I hope that a lot of people who are unfamiliar with Adams' works will look at the source materials as a result of the movie.

SOME FUNNY STORIES FROM BOB'S LIFE
1)When I started my job at the university, I decided to take advantage of the tuition waiver program and take some theatre classes. I met with my advisor and in the course of our conversation, I learned that he was directing an upcoming production that semester and that there was an un-cast part for an “older” actor. When people 18 to 23 are playing the adults, somebody who is 36 can play Grandpa or, in my case, Uncle Antonio. The play was Much Ado About Nothing by Shakespeare and I jumped at the chance. Up until that point, I had only done community theatre and saw this as a step up. Also, I had always wanted to do Shakespeare. It was tremendous fun and the cast was great. I had been at my new job less than a year so that was still new and exciting as well. My job was in food service in one of the residence hall kitchens where I was responsible for salads, fruit, and dessert. One day the Theatre Department put on a workshop for a group of visiting high school students. We presented various scenes from the play and then sat on stage in our costumes for a Q. and A. hosted by the director. The costumes were described by someone as, “Elizabethan meets The Jetsons meets M.T.V. (‘93--still showing videos)”. Mine was basically a big, purple, floor length dress with a high collar and around my neck (think of an Elizabethan ruff) a big gold disc 2 ½ feet across. I loved it. During the presentation, the director mentioned that some of the actors were not full time students but had other jobs. He explained that Scott, who played my brother, worked in the audio-visual department and that I. . .”Bob, what is it you do again ?” Filled with a heady mixture and pride and glee, I leapt to my feet and spread my arms wide proclaiming, “I cook salads !!!”
SUITABLE NICKNAMES BASED ON "CIGARDENER"
Just take any 3 sequential letters that can be easily pronounced. "Cig", "Iga", "Gar", "Ard", "Den", "Ene", and "Ner" are all fine; "Rde" is not.
Or you could just go with "Bob".
AN IDEA I HAD
A collar for the dogs of devout Christians. It would say: WWJDD
