...sounds familiar, here, too.
Why was that for me?

*shrug* Not sure, just thought you'd like it.
Here's another quote, anyway. There is NO WAY nobody's seen this movie.
'Well, I wouldn't kick Mick Jagger out of my bed, but I'm not a homosexual, no.'

NuclearConfusion -Not a lot of money in the revenge business Posted Jun 18, 2005
That is a standout enough quote, that if I'dve seen the movie, I'd know it. But it's not doing anything, so I'll hav to change my answer from 'sounds familiar' to
Liked it, sure. Ran into a lot of people proud of their ability to make life worse than it had to be.

Although, Haikeeba, I knew Naked Lunch right away. Not really from the quotes, so much as from you saying it was unfilmable.
That had to be Burroughs. Not a big fan of his.
And never play "William Tell" with him...

NO WAY!!!
I refuse to believe nobody recognises this movie! For crying out loud, it's a classic, it marked an era and all that sort of stuff!
*sigh*
I'm gonna go and try to think of a quote that won't make it completely obvious... but I really figured people would get it by now. *Walks away, shaking her head in disbelief*

Okay, okay. I was sitting in a cafe downtown early this morning, and they always play unconventional music. Well, anyway,
"This is the dawning of the age of Aquarius"
comes on, and suddenly it all makes sense.
And to think that I, with my long haired hippy style, didn't think of "Hair" .
And to think, that the same guy directed "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest"... eesh.
My quote, because I'm now positive that I'm right, is as follows:
"Why are you being so nice to me?"

Thank you! You have restored my faith in humanity... Or something. I thought I'll be forced to use
'Oh say, can you see
my eyes? If you can
then my hair's too short!'
if people continued to just not get it.
Anyway, your quote sounds incredibly familiar, but I can't place it. *shrug*

Never saw hair. I mean, I've seen lots of hair, every day in fact. Just not in this particular film-ish context. Now in the shower drain, there's lots in there. And on my head...well actually, I just got a haircut, but still. Yes...ahem.
Speaking of I saw 'Batman Begins' on Saturday. Very good, especially for a superhero movie. It's actually about batman as a character and not just explosions and rubber nipples.
But anyway, I don't feel that I need to explain my art to you Nuke.

Jay Posted Jun 20, 2005
er...
Oh, and Hair...seen it but didn't remember those lines.
How can people be so heartless,
How can people be so cruel?
That scene makes me need a tissue

NuclearConfusion -Not a lot of money in the revenge business Posted Jun 20, 2005
The nude scene makes me need a tissue...
WOW, uncalled for! My bad. Sorry everybody.
Anyway, I think Haik is on to me, so I better get a couple more in before I get caught.
Number two:
"What was that ruckus?"
"Uh, what ruckus?"
"I was just in my office and I heard a ruckus."
"Could you describe the ruckus, sir?"
Lounge Forty-Two
Jay Posted Jun 20, 2005
Oh, and Nuke, 'The Breakfast Club' was just on TV a few days ago. Sorta remember something about a "ruckus"...
And Judd Nelson...mmmmmm....cutie!
So, my movie quote:
"Is it the frank or the beans?"
Lounge Forty-Two
NuclearConfusion -Not a lot of money in the revenge business Posted Jun 20, 2005
Dang, missed seeing it.
Judd who? Frickin' Ally Sheedy.
Anyway, I know your movie! But no tag-backs, so I'll let this one slide. ...even though it isn't a sopy chick flick.

*Jumps up and down in frustration*
Dammit, I just KNEW this was familiar!!! I love this film! Arrrgh!
And I don't think I know the new one... so, back to the corner for me, I guess.
*Goes back to the corner and observes*

Wow, you just opened up a whole new world of 'dirty' in the lounge Nuke. Good work! I'm glad I'm not the only deviated prevert around here.
I wasn't actually on to you at all as it turns out. I wasn't thinking 'Breakfast Club' but 'Empire Records', which has the same line.
I'm pretty sure I know the movie, but I HATE it too much to mention it. I hate the Farrellys all together. So I'm not playing this round.
Unless of course I'm wrong. In which case, it doesn't matter if I play or not. So there's nothing left for me to do now but drink. No, wait...I have class in an hour.

Jay Posted Jun 21, 2005
Yeah, it's the Farrelly's Haik.
One last quote:
"Here you've been in therapy, you know, thinking you blew it with the greatest girl ever, and really it turns out that getting your d**k stuck in your zipper was the best thing that ever happened to you."
Haik and Nuke, both of you seem to know it, so unless Lady P gets it, or someone new swoops in and tags it, one of you guess it, and start us on another one.
And Haik, why hate the Farrelly's???
