hello' loungers', thanks for your welcome!
quote 1 :
" It's beyond my control"
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
"You'll find the shame is like the pain, you only feel it once"
------------------------------------------------------------------------
" I've distilled every thing to one single principle: win or die"
------------------------------------------------------------------------
"And it's not that I want to have you. All I want is to deserve you"
------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Adopt a less marital tone"
------------------------------------------------------------------------
The movie is after a book and it is remarkable the story is filmed twice , almost at the same time, in the same house and the quote is from the one who became the most well-known.
' looks around and takes a glass of '

John Malkovich could so kick Ryan Phillipe's ass.
Even though both play the same character on different retellings of
"Dangerous Liasons"
And how! Cheers, and wecome, cath!
hehe...catheder. ...cathenone. *hic!*
Lounge Forty-Two
cathrennes Posted Jun 4, 2005
Yes, it is Dangerous Liaisions! That was very quick! Did you see it and did you like it?
I liked the moment when John M puts of his wig and you see his long hair falling down... Our cat likes long hair too!

Well, I'm a guy, so I don't think I can admit to liking it, but umm, eh. It was good.
My quote:
"I just want to tell you that if I don't call you it's because I'm dead."
...actually, it's not my quote. But it's from a movie I'm quoting. Fair enough?

NuclearConfusion -Not a lot of money in the revenge business Posted Jun 6, 2005
No? That was a little vague, but I use it from time to time. Anyway, number two:
Do you think there's a really angry way I can say I'm sorry?

HAIKEEBA! Posted Jun 6, 2005
Sorry I'm late. Very mysterious quotes there Nuke.
My favorite thing about 'Mystery Men' was the Tom Waits cameo.
Speaking of whom, my voice is all messed up right now, maybe a cold...laryngitous(sp?) or something. I hope I don't scare the children tomorrow.
Right:
Self realization...I was thinking of the immortal words of Socrates who said, "I drank what?"

'Mystery Men'?
*goes to IMDB*
Hmmmm...how did I miss that movie? Good job Haik. Hope you feel better. Have a few hot toddys and you won't care how you feel in the morning.

NuclearConfusion -Not a lot of money in the revenge business Posted Jun 7, 2005
Well played, Haik. I knew you wouldn't let ol' Tom down.
And just one more for the road, because it's so great:
"When you can balance a tack hammer on your head, you will head off your foes with a balanced attack!
...And why am I wearing watermelons on my feet?
*Both look down, see watermelons on feet*
...I don't remember telling you to do that."
One of my favorite movies ever. Everyone go see it.
As for the new quote, I can think of a couple movies where this line or something similar is used, so I'll need some clarification.
Standing by.

Jay Posted Jun 8, 2005
So everyone heard Anne Bancroft died yesterday?
Benjamin: Mrs. Robinson, you're trying to seduce me.
Mrs. Robinson: [laughs]
Benjamin: Aren't you?
Mrs. Robinson: Benjamin, I am *not* trying to seduce you.
Benjamin: I know that, but *please*, Mrs. Robinson, this is difficult...
Mrs. Robinson: Would you like me to seduce you?
Incidentally, Dustin Hoffman looked so much younger than Anne Bancroft in The Graduate, but in reality, he was only 6 years younger...
And here's to you, Mrs. Robinson...

HAIKEEBA! Posted Jun 9, 2005
To seduction!
Next quote from previously quoted movie:
"I just can't stand it, have you ever seen such a body before in all your life?"
"She happens to be my daughter."
"Oh, well then I guess you have."

Coo-coo-caa-choo, Mrs. Robinson!
Anyway, I like how you said my quotes were mysterious, since the movie was Mystery Men, Haik. You're a ...*ahem*, real genius.
Val Kilmer really needs a comeback.
Anyway, quote one:
"I actually think there is an element of psychosis involved here."

HAIKEEBA! Posted Jun 10, 2005
...yes, he does. Something happened to him during "Batman Forever". As if Joel Schumaker sucks all of the talent out of everyone he works with, which might be true seeing as how he sucks as a director. (Yes, 'Lost Boys' pun intended)
I highly your current movie selection Nuke. I was working my way 'round to Cronenberg but didn't think anyone would mention this film. Kinda reminds me of an update to videodrome. But lets keep it up here and see if anyone else gets it.
"I want to put the game on pause. The game can be paused, can't it? I mean, all games can be paused, right?"

NuclearConfusion -Not a lot of money in the revenge business Posted Jun 10, 2005
"Death to Videodrome!"
...wait, no, wrong movie. That was Videodrome.
! HOLY CRAP! I keep forgetting just how much of a nerd you are, Haik. Figured I'd had a stumper with this one. Way to play.
...oh, and that pun...uncalled for, man.
Here we go. Send in the quotes:
"That's not funny."
"Sorry. But you know I do feel the urge to kill someone here."
"Who?"
"I need to kill our waiter."
"Well, that makes sense. Waiter! Waiter!"

Jay Posted Jun 11, 2005
*thinks to herself* I swear, the next game I win, I'm going to quote SUCH a soppy chick-flick...
Lounge Forty-Two
HAIKEEBA! Posted Jun 11, 2005
Nerd!? I prefer the term 'geek' thankyouverymuch.
And I really do hate Schumaker. !!!!!!
"What if we're not in the game anymore?"
"If... we're not...?"
"If we're not, then you just killed someone real."
