In theory, I should remember almost all of these, but there are a lot I don't remember...

Don't worry Steve, apart from the titles there are quite a few I draw a blank at!

I agree with Steven. My memory of most of them is blank, even though I contributed to nearly all of them.
Funny, I never knew my "Here on CNN the news comes first" lament about Richard Quest had become Mike Mills canon.

Mike Zigrosi Posted Jun 10, 2003
It's canon because it actually turned into Richard's first adventure if you remember

I suspect that may have been one of those threads that was unwittingly turned into an adventure against its will.

Alas not all of them no, but I do have some of the very best: Attack of the Spoilers, Albino Royale and of course your very first escapade; New Year Honours

Yes, quite a lot of them seem to start like that. One minute, a normal post about curtains, and then BANG we're in the middle of a Mike Mills adventure.
Mike: It never happens like that.
Steven: I thought it did...

Lance: I disagree.
Steven and Mike: Shaddap! (or words to that effect)

Lady Marian of the Terran Empire Posted Jun 12, 2003
Oh, what a pity some are gone. That's just terrible. The missing Lord Mike episodes... Perhaps the Mods have them squirreled away somewhere.
But you have my first adventure? Do you think you could send it to me, please? I thought I'd never see it again, and I did so love that one.
I was kicking myself for not saving it.
I'd also like Albino Royale, if it's not too much trouble. I remember starting that one, but for some reason, I never finished it. Hm. And I never actually saw Richard's entrance: I was gone at the time.
Sorry, I guess I sound like I'm placing an order. I'm just so excited that some of the ones I lost are still around. If it's any trouble, just don't bother to give them to me. I don't want to be any kind of a pain in the neck.
Do you have my address, Lord Mike? If not, you can get it from Steven, or you can tell me and I'll post it up on my page for a day or so, and then take it down again when you've got it.
And if there are any recent ones you don't have in the archives, let me know, I do have a few. Green Cat Contest, with its Two Months Later epilogue; not Fjord by Fjord-West, unfortunately ; Del Monte or Bust (though I expect you've got that one); Attack of the Spoilers of course; and the two 'General Ford' spinoffs: Law-d and Order and Salmon Pagoda. Maybe a bit more, I can't remember.
Strangely, although I believe Twilight of the Mods was the first one I read all the way through, as it was written, I remember the titles at least of stories all the way back to the second 'Bwwahahaha!'. Queer.
Oops, sorry! This is a bit of a long message, isn't it? :} Apologies for rambling on so.
See you soon, m'Lord!

Um, actually I started Albino Royale, sorry
I've asked Steve for your address so I should be able to send them to you soon. I do have a printed off copy of Green Cat Contest but strangely no copy on disk (though I do have the epilogue). Out of the others you said, the only one I don't have is The Salmon Pagoda so I would be grateful to receive that

I'm just about to e-Mail you back, Mike. (If you're interested that is. I hope that didn't spoil the surprise).
What I'm wondering is: why are there two adventures called "Trial of a Spy Lord" and why are there two adventures called "Bwhahahaha!" (okay, one has an extra w in) and one called "Muahahahaha!"?
Also, what was "The Mask of Mandy Gorman" about? I remember that title - I remember my inbox being filled with e-Mails with that title saying I had a reply on that thread, but I can't remember what happened. Was that one with you, Matt and me?

I think Marian means started writing in it (or started reading it) not starting the thread. (I don't know, I could be wrong/stupid)

Oh, for goodness' sake. I just meant I started reading Albino Royale. I'm acutely aware of the fact that I could never, ever think up a name like that. One of your best, I think, Lord Mike.
Best (perhaps only) one I ever could get was The Salmon Pagoda.
I'll send that one along to you, by the way, Lord Mike, when I can. My e-mail archives inexplicably seem to have temporarily deleted themselves. H'm! My account provider promises me everything will be back shortly, and assures me that 'NO DATA HAS BEEN LOST.' Not sure I believe them, but, there you are! Ah well...

I apologise for my mistake Lady Marian, it was unforgivable. Thank you however for complementing me on the title of Albino Royale, I am still proud of it today! In the fact there's only one other I'm as proud of and that's Del Monte or Bust.
Ah yes, the mystery of the two "Trial of a Spy Lord"s. This one is a mistake on my part, I thought I had left it out of the list and so added it in again, however I can't remove the second one without mucking up the numbering system.
The Bwahahaha! was as you know the first ever Mike Mills adventure (started by the Stainless Steel Rat). Bwwahahaha! was a completely seperate adventure, the titles are just coincidence.
Muahahaha! was actually the first adventure to feature Martin Penny as Emperor Martin (as opposed to his alter-ego Councillor Penny).
I can't actually remember much about The Mask of Mandy Gorman apart from the title and that Bob McCow contributed. Sorry!

"The Mask of Mandy Gorman" means something to me, but darn tootin', now I'll never know what it was. I thought as much about the "Muhahahahha" one, but I wasn't sure about the two "Bwhahahaha" ones. Strange... I guess Doctor Who has "The Mutants" and "The Mutants", and Dali painted two pictures called "Egg in a Bowl, Without a Bowl" so maybe it doesn't matter.
Key: Complain about this post
