Silver Sword Quest - The Death and Return of Chivalry

[Sharp]: *tugs at the axe...*
It's rusty and the axehead breaks off the separating from its handle.
"... West, I think it was... I wonder where there'd be an actual mill or logging camp around here... make sense for there to be at least some sort of one of those kinda things, somewhere near a place like this... somewhere."
*Shrugs, handing Gandark the axe and axehead*

[Sharp]: "Don't suppose they'd be missing it much, probably was there for at least a month or two, eh (probably went for a replacement instead of looking for it way out here, methinks)?"
*Goes Westward; though young, Sharp is by no means a rabbi*

[Gandark] *taking axe* Oh, er, uh, thank you! What was I supposed to do with this exactly?
*looks confused*

[Sharp]: "I don't know, exactly. You said it would probably be a good idea to take it along with us... looks a bit rusty. I wonder if there's any sort of trading outpost further along on this path here? Maybe we could get a tin of oil there."
*Shrugs, once again wishing he had bought a map before leaving the town of Quavia*

: * Please can there be some sort of a trading sequence, somewhere along ther line? Puh-lease... *s again*

Yeah, every time we come to a town or run into a traveling merchant. There's lots of different crap to do on quests - and items you can't buy in town.

: ** "Ooh..."
[Sharp]: "Why would someone build a temporary booth/tent thing, way out [the likes of here?" he notes, as he nearly crashes into one.

OK, direction people, which way 2 go? Elect somebody as a leader, or reach a consensus, but let me know what your characters decide to do.

: Oh, Boy!!
[Sharp]: "Hey Gandark, I recognize that mushroom growing in that corner on the rotten log (behind the tent)... it's fly agaric... same type of bracket-fungus that they say beserkers'll use... maybe we can trade-it in for something good (/), with that?"
*Scoops up the fungus and places it into a jar*

what teh heck?
A. you can't just make up a merchant whenever we need equipment. you get to decide what your character does, I send back your results. It's alot like a play-by-mail game. *merchant tent was never here and therefore disappears in a puff of nonexistance*
B. if there was a valuable plant outside a merchant's tent, don't you think it's likely he'd notice it?
C. teh party needs direction. To follow the Knights, go west. To follow the wolves who attacked last night, go south/downstream. To go back to town, find another way back across the river and go east. Somebody make a decision please.

: , (not to sound too tongue-in-cheek, but: ), I realized that as soon as it was pointed out, the agaric isn't valuable, just a little less than common (if you do not know where/how to look for it) & kinda useful (to Vikings anyway)... + I think you and I are the only 2 people 'on' playing right now...

[Kylen] gets left behind, and reappears at the next shadow near them. "Thanks guys. Way to wait for me!"

[Sharp]: *Mutters something... wondering if pointing @ Tobias might make the mage want/wish to break his finger off, and so doesn't*
"Gandark and I found an axe... in a tree,- he's got it right now (& it's kinda rusty. I found some red fly agaric..."
*Shows Kylen the bracket fungus/mushroom*

: I think the DM up and left, - was afraid it'd look like showing 'favoritism' to call up a shop or trade-post/something while I was the only other one on. Can't say I'd really blame him.

Okay, people. If we keep messing around, we'll never get anywhere. I say we go into town and see what we can fix up. There might be a warrior with nothing to do over there, and if we don't go, we'll always be speculating about it. Who wants to lead the way?
*excuses himself when there's a moment, and looks at the silver band from the wolf's leg. It glows blue, apart from one particular spot, which glows red. Tobias rotates the bangle, and the spot is always glowing in the same direction*
