Wow. I . . . I what, triple-posted? Sorry, the mouse fell off the keyboard tray. No, really, Jen. That's my excuse.

Yes, but no one ever said you were wrong. And you carry a dictionary with you.
I'm not sure I should believe that one about the .
Although your computer setup is pretty screwy.

@ Jen - I've stopped carrying a dictionary with me. I got too many weird looks from my classmates. ("Are you seriously reading that thing?" No, I am NOT reading the dictionary! What do you think? Honestly, people!) And you've got that right, our computer setup is kinda messed up. The attachment on the keyboard tray doesn't stay on very well - this time I think it's off for good. Darn. Incidentally, what do you think of keyboard drawers where the attachment thing is on the right side? Are you bothered by this arrangement which so obviously favors righties?
@ Atari and Darth Zaphod (may I call you DZ?) - I like being right. My parents are right about so many things that I rarely get a chance to show off what I know.

Yes, I am annoyed about this whole right-biased thing, but the bleeping is ergonomic for the right hand. Can't use it left handed. I have found a mouse I really really really want, but then we'd also have to get a mouse controller that lets you switch between the two mice on one computer without switching the plugs (kinda like the old controllers for sharing one printer bewteen multiple computers, a switchbox, where you'd indicate which computer it was printing from manually, by flipping the switch.) But it'd be a few hundred bucks (maybe 2, I can't remember) and I don't want it that badly. I will get a lefthanded mouse if I ever get a laptop and desire a mouse for it, but a good one. The one I'm oogling now comes in three sizes, for different hand sizes. (The same company makes right handed mice in 5 sizes.) Unfortunately the size that fits my hand measurment best is extra-large, and left handed only goes to large (extra-large and extra small are the other right handed sizes). You probably haven't noticed, but I have pretty big hands. Larger than many people my size.
@ Eliza-acutally last I knew I had a larger hand and wider spread than James. And he plays the cello! Cellists often have a wide spread because they are always stretching the left hand fingers.
And are you telling me you HAVEN'T read the dictionary? It's fascinating. Esp. if you have one with etymology.

Jen, I flip through it (the dictionary) occasionally, but never actually sit down and read the whole darn thing, like, every single entry!
Incidentally, you can get mice that aren't ergonometric to a particular hand - they have them on all our school computers, but that doesn't matter because we have keyboard trays that automatically put the mouse on the right side . . . my teacher's left-handed and it drives her crazy! *evil grin - I don't particuarly like this teacher*

Oh, I never read the whole thing, but when I look up a word I make a point to read any entries that catch my eye on the way over, and about three to the top and bottom of the word I was looking up in the first place.
And the non-ergonometric mice are ususally stupid and uncomfortable-like the one on our old mac (from, oh, maybe 1988).
Just join anyways.

Maybe you should check out the Royal h2g2 Procrastinator's Guild, too! I'd give you a link, but I really haven't the time . . . maybe I'll get around to it later . . .
