You like murder?
Not sure about philosophy...
'Item A is Item A... or is it?'

Only joking. Or am I...
How much philosophy have you read? Item A must be Item A. It is logically impossible that x is not x. Whether or not x exists, or we are perceiving it correctly is open to dispute, but we don't sit around going
"I think Item A is Item A."
"I think it's not."
"I think it is"
"I think it's not."
"I think it is"
"I think it's not."
"I think it is"
"I think it's not."
"I think it is"
"I think it's not."
"I think it is"
etc.
That would just be boring. At least read "The Consolations of Philosophy", by Alain de Boton? Very well written and amusing as well.

You take my summarisation of philosophy as a mockery of it.

It just didn't seem like it from the Item A comment.

He be a Russian writer. He wrote "Uncle Vanya" and "The Three Sisters". His novels tend to be dark and gloomy.
Make of that what you will.
