Erm, TOC was specially rewritten by Mr Pratchett and republished in a wonderful volume called Knights of Madness. Or was it Flying Sorcerors? One of them anyway. The other has a wonderful Death story in it set in the 'real' world where he admires a record collector.
The third volume whos name eludes me has a wonderful story about chickens but is not Discworld related so not worth mentioning here.

Oh yes, additionally there is a Granny Weatherwax story where she outstares the sun, published in a collection called Legends. It is very very good.

Aha, which one can then presume Pratchett recycled for use Lords and Ladies (I think)? She challenges that younger witch to outstare the sun.

I think I mentioned the Granny Weatherwax short story a while back on the main PA thread. It's called 'The Sea and Little Fishes' and it's not about her staring at the sun, it about a witch trail in which she does not compete. Which un-nerves the hell out of everybody.
The other stories are:
The aforementioned 'Theatre of Cruelty', original written especially for the WHSmith Bookcase magazine, and re-published in 'The Wizards of Odd' anthology, edited by Peter Haining.
'Turntables of the Night', about DEATH coming for a record collector. It appeared in 'The Flying Sorcerers' - the sequel 'Wizards of Odd'. Not sure were it was seen first, though.
The one about chickens is 'Hollywood Chickens', in which a group of very clever chickens create a matter transporter in order to cross a road. It appear in Peter Haining's third anthology 'Knights of Madness'
And, just to show that I know that little bit more, there's a short story called "# ifdefDEBUG+'world/enough'+'time'". A story about a software engineer called in to reboot a computer which a programer is using to run a virus based on his ex-girlfriend. Kinda weird, that one. Seen in the anthology 'Cyber-Killers' which was edited by Ric Alexander.

Did you have to google the name or did you know it offhand?

I didn't know it offhand, I admit. But I'd google either. I just got the book down off my shelf. Then I re-read the story. It actually more complicated that I said it was, but it's rather difficult to explain.

I feel myself being put to shame Thats what I get for posting before Ive dug out the relevant tomes from my pile. Sigh.
The Granny Weatherwax one is brilliant though.
