The Rescue Attempt
dElaphant (and Zeppo his dog (and Gummo, Zeppos dog)) - Left my apostrophes at the BBC Posted Jun 4, 2002
/* Opens eyes */
No, GL, but I think I'm a little overcome by Zeppo's disappearance.

Witty Moniker Posted Jun 4, 2002
I'm stuffed. That was delicious, Caer. I think I've gained 5 pounds already on this mission.
d'E, I think they will fall for that 'manual'. Very clever.

Coniraya Posted Jun 4, 2002
Glad you all enjoyed breakfast, but save room for lunch!
*packs cooking utensils neatly away under the seats in the coach*
I must ask Amos if he wouldn't mind rigging up a camp kitchen at the back of the coach, like you see in those Westerns.
So what next, are we following those rascally jellos to that village?

We sure are.
/* Hops on his horse, and heads up the straight path. */

The Rescue Attempt
The Ghost of Rebjello Posted Jun 4, 2002
*around the woods muffled sounds are heard again as if from a number of riders. The dense woods mask the direction the sounds come from (there may or may not be the sound of an unau as well). After a minute or two they cease and all is quiet once more and peace returns once more to the trail*
The Rescue Attempt
Garius Lupus Posted Jun 4, 2002
*Finishes his breakfast, then saddles his horse. Follows d'E up the straight path. Hopes the others will come along soon.*
The Rescue Attempt
Witty Moniker Posted Jun 4, 2002
*Rolls up her sleeping bag and stows it under the seat in the coach.*
I might as well hang onto this, sea. There's no telling how long this mission is going to take.
Is there anything else we need to do before we move on?
The Rescue Attempt
soeasilyamused, or sea Posted Jun 4, 2002
*wakes*
who...wha? nevermind. i'll take the injun over there and tie his horse to mine.
*readies horses, then grabs joe's arm*
come on, now. no funny business.
The Rescue Attempt
Amos the Ranchhand (and Driver) Posted Jun 4, 2002
*Harnesses Bonny and Clyde and hitches them to the stagecoach.*
We'll be moving out in a few minutes, folks, so you should get aboard now.
*Climbs up to the driver's box and takes the reins.*
The Rescue Attempt
soeasilyamused, or sea Posted Jun 4, 2002
*helps joe climb onto horse, then ties him to the saddle. takes his horse and puts it on a lead rope, which is attatched to her horse*
the prisoner and i are ready when you all are... *mounts horse*
The Rescue Attempt
Billy the Kid Posted Jun 5, 2002
*had mounted up quietly and riden off on Dandy the first time all the noise of passing was riders was heard. Now rides back in with Dandy looking a bit winded*
There's been a shoot-up at the ateleer. The Webjello gang. I follered them there and follered them back to their hideout. It's a little town called Peta Gulch. There's some apes in the trees just on the road but they didn't look all that ambitious to me. Fer sure one of em saw me and didn't raise an alarm!
Now I reckon we should think about how we could use the coach fer a decoy. There's plenty of spare horses. *dismounts and pulls the saddle off Dandy and switches it over to the pinto as he talks* Amos, you still got a quick release on that harness?
Anybody got any ideas?
The Rescue Attempt
Indian Joe Two Jellos Posted Jun 5, 2002

mwaa hah hah hah hah hah

soeasilyamused, or sea Posted Jun 5, 2002
*arches eyebrow at joe*
somehow i doubt that.
*to billy*
is everyone at the atelier okay?

Sol Posted Jun 5, 2002
My goodness, not the Altelier!!! Is nowhere sacred???!!! They didn't, like, damage it or anything. Lil'll be furious.
But regarding the coach: my Mary Poppins effect is good so long as I have the parasol and carpet bag. I can drive it and float off at a critical moment, if necessary...
We use it to cover our enterance into the twon? I guess the Jellos have all had a good enough look at us so that infiltration wouldn't work...
Oh wait, I was asleep... They haven't seen me! I could go ahead and scout?
*straps carpet bag and parasol to back, straitens hat and waits for instructions...*
The Rescue Attempt
Sol Posted Jun 5, 2002
*On second thoughts, decides to head to the outskirts of the town...*
The Rescue Attempt
soeasilyamused, or sea Posted Jun 5, 2002
allright, the prisoner and i are going to catch up with the others.
*urges horse forward, with joe's horse following*
we're moving to "The Straight Trail" thread, joe F90857?thread=187125 though i'm sure you already knew that

Munchkin Posted Jun 5, 2002
My, what a lot you have been up to while I've been "asleep". Looks like fun
Well I'm all set to go. *waves from the coach window*
The Rescue Attempt
Amos the Ranchhand (and Driver) Posted Jun 5, 2002
*has been bringing Bonnie and Clyde up to the coach and harnessing them while listening to Billy's plan and nodding*
I can drop the hitch just outside the town and the coach will be in their way if they try to come back.
*climbs the wheel onto the driver's seat and shakes the reins: the great horses move smoothly forward*
