I agree with you Lisacat. Sometimes, our "sign" has nothing to do with our getting along well with people or hating them to the death.
But I'm happy to tell you that my boyfriend's also a Libran. I was born on the 9th of October and he followed suit. It's kinda weird to have him greet me on my birthday and the next thing we know, I'm doing the same thing for him the day after that! But despite its weirdness, I must tell you that it's also very cool.

I had a good friend who was a Libra and it was really unharmonious! I think other things added to that though. She was really unbalanced, and sadly a lot of the minor bad points of the Libra personality (and there are so few!) became exaggerated, and she just wanted to boss me around and throw big dramatic scenes about everything all the time. . . Of course, me being such a harmony loving Libra allowed this for way too long.
She was close to the Virgo cusp so I think there may have been a bit of a clash there.
My last boyfriends (he's the Cancer) girlfriend was also a Libra and they had a bit of a volatile time. But so far things are going swimmingly (ha ha . . okay not funny!). Lots of things add in to the Astrology mix to make a person.

I'm slap bang in the middle of Libra, having my birthday on October 8th.
I seem to have a lot of the traits of Libra - indecisive, lazy, liking the best things in life and preferring inactivity to anything TOO energetic! I can be pretty moody at times, but inclined to hide this.
But I'm also peace-loving and prefer harmony to conflict in my life.
Which can make things quite difficult, as I always seem to be attractyed to Arians. It's uncanny - I just find that if I am attracted to someone, they invariably turn out to be Arian, and quite often their traits will end up irritating me. I think they get on well with me because I tend to put up with them for so long!
My present partner is Aries, and thinks I am very patient and long-suffering.

I'm a typical Libran too - I'm always daydreaming, and I'm very lazy!
I always seem to be attracted to guys who are Pisces - don't know if we're meant to be compatable or not, but most guys I fancy turn out to be Pisces!

I am a very typical Libra, everything has a yin and yang.

ah well ....
following on from my post a couple of posts ago, I am once again single.
.. turned out I wasn't long-suffering enough! Although I think putting up with someone for two and a half years is fairly patient!!

You *will* get over it, but these things take time.
Make sure that you express your sadness - cry on your friends' shoulders, hit your pillow, all that kind of stuff.
You could try flower remedies (a form of homoeopathy) which are great at supporting you through emotionally tough times.

The best part is getting on with everyone!! The worst part is being indescisive, and liking the 'easy life'!!
I blow my top and come back real quick, i like harmony not discord, i am definately and 'even number' person, have to have everything in even numbers down to the sweets i eat to the food on my plate not 3 potatoes for me has to be 4!!
I'm married to an Aries, he's not a typical one which is why i think it has lasted so long, that and the fact that very early on he realised i was a free spirit and had to explore the 'universe' as far as possible and hasn't clipped my wings (well not much)!!
I'm also attracted to Saggitarians and this seems to be a good match too!! I often find if i get on with someone i have just met really well that they too tend to be a Librian, the person you meet and feel like you've known for ages and laugh at the same things........
Well that's about it, i love being a Libra and attribute my best bits and worst bits to it, naive but satifying enough for me!!

I'm a Libran with my birthday on the 10th October.
I don't really know how a Libran should be - I only clicked the link as I was blindly surfing through h2g2, but it's cool to know there are lots more Librans here too

Mines on October the 6th. Its funny what you said about even numbers, I do the same with odd numbers! I thought I was the only one, so its nice to know others do simiar things.
I am very into harmony - will avoid a fight to no end, but sometimes it all comes back and bites you. I think the worst thing about being a Libran is the indecisivness. I get really frustrated - but I just can't help thinking that the one I don't pick will be so sad and left-out. . . even if its an inanimate object!
Best thing about being a Libra is the ability to be calm and serene while everyone around you is throwing tanties and tearing out their hair. I find it hard to get stressed out about little things.

The best part of being Libran is the ability to see both sides of any given situation. The worst part is the ability to see boyh sides of any given situation.

1st of October,
Love being able to be objective, see both sides of an argument and being the balance-point in a crisis or an argument - but for the life of me I cant make simple unemotional descisions! As soon as its emotive - my Leo moon takes over and descisions are easy, but what to eat at a resturant, what shoes to wear or what item on my to-do list to tackle next is an excruciating excersise.
Annother huge flaw of being a libran is being illogically attracted to Scorpios - i can spot a scorp a mile away! Its always hell on earth to actually get involved with them - but it attraction is just about always there!

Oh that made me - I'm married to a Scorpio!
I've also had relationships with 2 other scorpios in the past, and yes they were hell on earth.

Strange...
I just came here by means I need not explain, and not until this moment had I realised that my two only girlfriends were both scorpios... and both 'relationships' were disastrous... maybe there is something in this astrology stuff after all...

Must have been written in the stars for you to come here...
In my experience, Scorpio's can be hard work for the fair minded Libran to deal with. They can be dogmatic, arrogant and way too secretive (although it's obvious to everyone else what they're trying to hide, but they have to try all the same).
But they can also be passionate, extremely loyal and deep.
Not that I'm stereotyping people of course...
