The Official Petition for a Cross-Browser Marquee

The <marquee> tag has been widely used in H2G2, however since it is not part of HTML and only works in one browser (I'll give you a hint as to which one: the company which makes it wants to take over every computer system in existence) it is not officially sanctioned in GuideML. We, the undersigned, wish to have a cross-browser version of the <marquee> tag included in GuideML as a gadget. The code for said gadget was at A552656, however it got moderated because the site I got some of the code from changed their Terms of Use to disallow redistributionsmiley - I am currently rewriting the code.
