*struggles on top of the Sarge and sits on her*
"If Shakespeare had meant it to be funny, he would have put a joke in it."
Trouble is, most of the puns don't translate very well. Who today knows what a poor-John is?

Courting?
I'll have you know I'll give this poultroon the thrashing she so richly deserves, just as soon as I remember why she deserves it.
A 'poor-John' is a type of dried fish, also slang for *ahem* flaccid manhood. Therefore, in Romeo and Juliet when a characters says to his mate: "If thou wert a fish, thou would be a poor-john" he is insulting his virility.
Laugh? I nearly did.

I think I may be on the verge of developing a new arch-nemesis...

Who says no one laughs at Shakespeare? You're all a bunch of uncultured slobs, the lot of ya! I've always enjoyed Shakespeare. Heck, I act it out sometimes. It's fun stuff. Taiming of the Shrew is great!

Nah. Rude is where I rip all my clothes off and smother myself with soft cheese.

*waits until QQ starts an upwards boucne, then puts her palms upon, ahem, his rear and shoves hard, sending him straight over her head*
*simultaneously she rolls forwards and gets to her feet, but slips over due to the silly string on her soles...*

*WHUMP*
Or possibly not.

*wonders when this went from some desert war flick to a circus show with clowns...*

*Grabs bucket of whitewash and hurls it over the Sarge*
Circus? Don't talk rot.
