If I sign out, leave it for an extended period (without moving off the page after signing out), then sign back in again, it takes me to the 'Settings' page instead of 'My Space'.

Anyone else noticed this yet?

Just a thought

Just a thought I'm guessing that brackets aren't allowed in names now - or at least new names. It seems all my previous problems have now gone smiley - ok but if I want to change my name - I lose my brackets (and I like my brackets smiley - tongueout).

Although if that's the way it is, I don't mind sticking with my current name - then I can be one of the unique few with brackets smiley - tongueout

smiley - grr If i click on a link (within h2g2) & reply; if that person uses a different 'skin', i have to re-set 'preferences' to get mine back; this will confuse & discourage newbies from the site in my
opinion.

The only difference between "Normal" and "Expert" is that "Expert" has the Tree Gadget (<./>DontPanic-Forums#2</.&gtsmiley - winkeye turned on (which is the normal in Brunel anyway)

>>Bagpuss, you simply can't have two accounts with the same e-mail under BBC iD. But BBC iD doesn't know about your old account if you don't transfer it. So you can easily have created a new one instead...<< Mal

Yet, I've got duplicate accounts on 3 h2 accounts that I updated last month. The Eds think I've registered with a slightly different username and ended up with a second account. But how could I have done that with the same email address? It's true I do have a few email accounts but not that many.

You *can* change your tagline if you want, it's pretty easy. Look at the link above.

Not sure what's going on with you and the skins but try logging out, closing your browser, emptying the cache if you can, then logging in again. I had my browser loading from the cache alot yesterday, very annoying.

I didn't even actually switch skins. Just click on that 'plain details' link, change your nick, then just hit the back button to here. Done. smiley - ok
