Ok, deleting the new duplicate account isn't such a good idea Now I can't log in. Even though the A page is still there, bbciD doesn't recognise the username.

Someone else figured out the Plain hack, I just stole it I think it was in the 'I survived bbciD...' thread.

Bagpuss, you simply can't have two accounts with the same e-mail under BBC iD. But BBC iD doesn't know about your old account if you don't transfer it. So you can easily have created a new one instead...

being a bit on the fik side"plain" ? if I click "preferences" on the left (in yellow)it still takes me to settings and it'll only allow a few words at most. My tag shows CEO etc, but in settings it's only Prof Animal Chaos ?

I made it through the gate into the new system. I was a little worried about the sign at the entrance, though. It read, "Abandon hope, all ye who enter here." No, wait, that was a sign at *another* gate.

They need to move that 'delete this account' link to a safer place or the site will get very sparse at Halloween this year.

(Either that or build a 'no don't delete it really, I just pressed it accidentally' button)

Just think, If nighthoover returned today (doubtful as I don't believe he survived SSO) he would actually know what 2 do 2 cancel.

You *do* get to a second page where you have to confirm that you want to delete the account...
