Now I'm not suggesting anything, but I do notice that the BBC politics logo does have a lot of red in it and very little blue. I'm sure it's just colour preference though.
The logo is all over this page: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/vote_2005/default.stm

I got moderated for repeating a gag about which h2g2 Smileys might represent certain party leaders that I'd already cracked in my Journal. Which, I guess, shows that the Slanting Ones are serious about this policy. Still, I hope I will be allowed to repeat the thing I said along with the joke: that I am really glad that we have a space for election talk on h2g2.
Zantic, did you mean Peter Snow - the BBC's man with the Swingometer? I'm downloading a minaturised version of him right now from here: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/vote_2005/frontpage/4380463.stm .
I particularly liked the sweater that the real Mr. Snow was wearing on BBC News 24 earlier. A very nice shade of dayglo orange, I thought.

Ho hum I'll get me coat. (and I'm sure he had a piechart long before he had a swingometer)

Isn't a skink some sort of lizard?
If so, a skinker would be someone who went looking for skinks.
Let's not ask *why* anyone would want to do that.

I am not touching this thread with a ten foot french bread. I get into enough trouble trying to discuss backwoods politics. Good luck to you all. And when it is safe let me know what the difference between a politician and an "X".
I be gone. I be good. I keep it zipped.
One thing I noticed. You guys sound just like us guys, but different.
Ziiiiip!!!

MoFoLo,
My sentiments exactly. I'm keeping it zipped as my comments probably wouldn't be suitable for a public space like this anyway. Anyway, I think shortly we shall be very glad of a politics free zone.
Thanks for warning us h2g2 team. I got the message because I subscribe to Announcements. Will everyone get the message whether they have done that or not?
