Ireland is very much not 'Great Britain'. The Great bit doens't refere to how marvelous we are, it differentiates the island from 'Little Britain', now known as Britany.

That's not to stop someone from doing something similar with Ireland, the USA, or any country of the world that isn't currently covered by an entry (Japan, anyone?). But we're just trying to offer a bit of focus here

ahh, Little Britain. See that's what we need from each county. Matt Lucas representatives!
In Nottinghamshire we definitely have our fair share of Vicki Pollard's!!

Is tempting, but I'm a tad busy right now, perhaps another Aussie Researcher might be interested...

I've added the 'cracking idea' to the Challenge Forum Mr P. If there's no interest for a few months I might take up the bat...maybe.

Wid that be the Cutty Sark Parferris, well known in Tam O Shanter's Ayrshire ? There is a group of Scottish researchers who could probably contribute their bawbee's worth. Not sure if there are equivalent Welsh or Irish .....
In the several kingdoms you mentioned there is also the Kingdom of Fife.

US States are the equivalent of UK counties, aren't they? Wasn't this project started because there was no EG equivalent to the entries on US states?
To start trying to have entries on all US counties would be like trying to write entries on every single parish and borough council in the British Isles - a laudable aim, but realistic?
