I quite seriously second the motion that SBVM members officially call ourselves "TITS" if only to play up the fact that Peta dubbed us "tits."
...Especially since the word is quite offensive to US readers.

Deidzoeb Posted Jan 4, 2002
Wait, so if I'm adding this to my h2g2 nickname, do I say "Subcom. Deidzoeb // TITS // peace A633331 please" or just "tit"? If I use the plural, it sounds like maybe an offer, or like an object that I seek, instead of identifying myself as one.

Perhaps a good acronym could subdue its meaning.
Temperamental Individuals Testing Sensitivities?
Trenchant Intellectual Terror Squad?
Tiny Ickle Torment Spreaders?
Too Irreverent To Secede?
...nah.
Thorn In Their Sides?
Whichever way you look at it, tits is tits.

Is there a difference between a tit, a teat, a dug, or an udder?
Why is it that a titmouse has no mammaries and isn't even a rodent?
Please don't titter overmuch at these questions.
Here's another, if it wasn't an official warning, what was it?
Lucinda,
Wasn't there a statement somewhere, somewhen that official warnings were posted online?

Up-front and indespensible?
I was told that in the US something that is really cool is 'the tits'. That sounds like us too.

So you are saying that maybe we should seriously consider Peta's 'tits'?

Fellow Tits,
What does that word mean in the UK that's different from over here?
I really like the idea of having the word TITS attached to one's user-name with no explanation offered. I once knew someone who adapted it as a swear word, so if he stubbed his toe, he could shout 'TITS!' The chap wasn't what you'd call well-adjusted, but he was funny.
So, yeah, I just realized that I haven't been nearly as subscribed to this page as I ought to have been. This is a fun thread, and I've missed it until today. I see that I have an smiley by my name, and am suitably ashamed. How close is a *close* encounter of the Moderate kind? In the words of the poet, I'm not that innocent. Does getting moderated for an out-of-control flame in a 9/11 related thread count?

THORNS IN THEIR SIDES! Yes! Motion carried!
"What does that word mean in the UK that's different from over here?"
If by "here" you mean the US, I'd say there's no difference in denotation, but definitely in connotation of the word "tits." The fact that you can write "tits" on h2g2, that even the Community Editor employed by h2g2 could get away with writing "tits" here, while the word b******s (as in the Sex Pistols' album titled "Never Mind the ...") gets moderated with asterisks, should show that something's funny. Network tv censors in the US have only begun allowing "tits" in recent years, if I remember correctly.
(Excuse me if my spelling of bullocks was b******s, or vice versa. I can't be arsed to remember which word means something bad to UKers. It's all pants to me.)
What kind of impact will this have on my guide entry on Gynecomastia?

Excellent!!! Can you third a motion that's carried??
Now, to twist the poke in the eye with a sharp thorn in their side, what if we spell it 'TiTZ'?
As to our theme song, I propose: "Who Let The Tits Out?"; "I Get No Tits From Champagne"; or maybe "Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Tits".
The possibilities are titless...

"I Get No Tits From Champagne" -
Maybe she meant that we are cute, around early in the morning, and take the cream off the metaphorical milk.
