Hunter, who is rarely on H2G2 anymore. Posted Jan 18, 2002
If I knew any songs about rip van winkle, I'd shout them at you with a bull horn, Red Dog. But, since I don't, I'll just make some "let sleeping dogs lie." type puns.

[Dylan] Is he saying anything about driving his master's car, or being able to bark in seventeen languages?

dirzzt, UH? What are those?
Finished 'Hornblower and the Atropos' (very good), and am now on to the next Hornblower novel: "Beat to Quarters". This one is the first of the original trilogy, written in 1939. I'm reading the books in story order (i.e. in chronological order from the story viewpoint), but that isn't the order they were written in. It's interesting, because some of the books I have already read have had a slightly different character for Hornblower. I'll have to see if he grows into that character in the trilogy.

Red (and a bit grey) Dog Posted Jan 26, 2002
it's post-modernist. it's a rebellion against the established rules of society, and a bold declaration that youth will no longer be held down by their elders.
Key: Complain about this post
