At the murder mystery?
*GL is now nearing the end of the NEXT book. He looks up.*
Well, Hornblower got caught! He had to surrender after fighting 4 ships with his one. The last book ended with the end of that battle. In this book he has escaped, spent the winter with a sympathetic French family, built a boat, made his way down the river to, um, Nantes, I think, stolen a cutter that the French had previously captured from the British, fought off an attack, then made his way to the fleet. Phew! Great stuff. He is still pretty nervous about the court-martial he will face for surrendering his ship, though. And Lady Barabara's husband was killed! Hoooeeeee!
*Turns back to his book.*

And I've set up a few comic-book like quizzes that sardonically poke humour at how long and complex the history of h2g2 is becoming....and I've made Zork references....

Yeah, but what I meant when I was saying that earlier is that the mini-series version we've got on video tape today was originally on TV. The radio series was done better, in my opinion. Though the books will always feel like the best version, for some reason....
Except for the Infocom version. That one is better because it's Infocom.

*Closes "Flying Colours" and gets out "Commodore Hornblower"*
Well, Hornblower certainly ended that book with flying colours. He's now rich, with a Lady for a wife and a little boy. Somehow, I don't think he'll stay on land too long, though, even if he DOES own a village now.

Hands Iceraven some .
You're the patient kind then ? maybe the type that is prepared to wait awhile for satisfaction ? or possibly fleeing from justice and need a hideout where nothing ever happens ?

i've got all three series now. *beams*
i agree, though, the books are best. the radio series are fab, and the TV series is hilarious. but you just can't beat a book.
*off to watch TV series again*
