Why do you even have a "Mammel Hibernation Watch"?

still
I`ve got a mammalian watch (Mickey Mouse version) and it is a hibernation model - it has an alarm function and it is set for posting 1000

He popped in in another forum briefly over Christmas in one of his other personas. I suspect it will be a long time before he comes back, if ever. In the meantime, you get to hear all about my reading.
Well, since I last posted, I finished the Evelyn Waugh book. Very interesting, but not a keeper. I then read the first book of the Hornblower serries. I bought most of the books over the last 20 years, but haven't read any of them. The first one was pretty good and now I am part way through the second. In between, I read a book that we gave my daughter for Christmas - Robin Hood. It was a retelling of some of the tales. Pretty good. Oh, and I also reread part of a book that I have already read (but didn't remember that I had read it when I ordered it up from the library: Kitchen Table Wisdom. It should be required reading for any doctor.

[Dylan] Oh well. I suppose the Vanda, which are trying to take over the Universe, can wait a few more hours ...

Well, I would like to read even more, but I don't get as much reading time as I would like. Besides, that was a couple of weeks worth of reading I just listed - not really all that much for that length of time.
*Turns to the next chapter of "Lieutanant Hornblower".*
This book has an interesting style. It is written from the viewpoint of another officer on the ship, not Hornblower. You get to hear his thoughts and observations, some of which involve Hornblower, but not all. It is interesting that the author would treat his main character as a secondary character. It works very well, actually.
