Uli, I don't think you entirely understand my point of view. Do you honestly think this is the first time that I've had to deal with this kind of situation? I've been opposed by other users of magic, sometimes even ones who may have been more powerful than myself. The fact is, it is not whether I win or lose today, it is how long it will take me to win in the long run. Even if you somehow destroy me now, I'll just pop into existence at a later point in time.

Oh, and people with less intelligence than the two of us can easily be dangerous. Just think of Akmuht, the mythical monster of Chaos. He was represented by a dragon without a head. All that raw power, unsure of what it is doing, ignorantly rampaging through the universe.

As for my feelings on Martens, he's no loss to me. I've murdered others, I've had friends murdered, I've even been murdered a few times. But why this urge to deny what happened, Uli? The simple fact is that you killed him. No matter how much rationalizing one does, it al boils down to that.

Yclept's first spell fails (due to his reduced power without his amulet). Thus the Uli's damage isn't healed and his total is still 20.

Crow, you seem pale. Does it frighten you that you cannot run away? Perhaps some willowbark powder will ease your head!

*reaches into her medicine pouch with her free hand, and takes a pinch of powder*

*Uli now holds her spirit spear like a bo (staff) in both hands and crouches*

*Spectral forms appear beside Yclept and begin harrying him. Gillings has a spectral knife, and Martens a spectral chainsaw. These non-magical weapons have the potential to pierce the magic shield, but haven't done so yet since they were just summoned. (Uli will need to ask the two spirits to attack).

The agaric causes Yclept to become dizzy and his muscles to twitch. This is followed by a drunken feeling and sleepyness.*

What do you mean about a lie, Uli? Are you denying that your act ended Martens' life?
