Gentlemen, you may consider Mrs. Briggs' requests to be your orders. Mr. Gilling, take your watch on deck, Mr. Volkert accompany him. Mr. Goodschad you also take to the deck, but remain available for when Mrs. Briggs calls on you.

Dr. Rangel, you aren't strictly under orders here, but you have been asked to leave the cabin for now. Will you accompany me to the forecastle? Perhaps we could have a word?

*gets a gleam in her eyes. stands up and picks up Richardson's tools. holds them for a minute and looks at the cat. winks again, laughs softly, and carries them to Richardson* There you are, Mr Richardson. Although, your concern about a mere cat is somewhat laughable. *winks at Richardson, laughs again and returns to her husband's side*

*sighs contentedly, happy to finally have everyone out of the cabin, except those who belong. scratches the cat under the chin and looks at Benjamin* That was quite an unsettling affair, my dear. I do not trust Mr Gillings any farther than Puss here could throw him. I am glad that he has been removed - bodily, unfortunately, but at least he is gone. There is much I need to tell you. Lizzie, would you take Puss over to the chair near the door and keep watch for me? I need to speak to Papa for a moment. Don't leave the cabin, though, please. Thank you, dear.
