what a load of old bollards there shaggy,
it looks like you wrote that site yourself judging by the academic quality of the content.

You mean it would be more factual, if it was about the jokes, laughs and practical jokes told by the crew of the "Flying Dutchman"!!!

*checks pressure gauges*
aaaargh!! the pun pressure has dropped below 2 psi (*)!!!
*like a goo coloured blur, alec dashes around the generator room checking more gauges,
peering into the backlog tank,
opening the moderation bypass valves
(using a strange tool that he found down in the bilge one day )
rolling out the 'slap-on' rollaway steel punch cabinet
and pouring a cold grolsch,
pressing various buttons on the control panels of the generators with the gleaming chrome cylinder head covers,*
turning up the ventilation a bit,
mopping the sweat from his furrowed brow*
sorry about that, had to start the pun generator...
er...anyone else fancy a grolsch??

Did I tell you about the man who was looking for a henweigh.
someone asked him what's a henweigh and he told the man it weighs about two or three pounds.

Hi Alec,Neugen here, I`m escaping from my dentist().I felt sure he wouldn`t be able to find me down here. My, you do so much work making sure the pun-stir is working, not to mention the simple jokes(must make sure a safety net is in place to keep them from flying over most people`s heads). I must admit to preferring the brass & wood to the chrome-but that`s just me. Neu

*passes hotto shagbark*
hi neugen...funnily enough i've been under the dentist this week too
Our esteemed Navigator, The Archangel Kes, has gone long walkabout with Mari-Rae, the equally highly esteemed Look-Out, that's why the pun levels have dropped so drastically. With Kes around, i never needed to run the generator.
A Captain once gave this engineer some advice : "Even if you do nothing else in this engine-room, keep those chrome cylinder-head covers clean and shiny".
There is plenty of brass pipework to polish if you want...all the seawater pipes are brass, so are the compressed-air lines.

the er jaw jockey for days now.
*alec is busy with a roll of ductape, making sure the generator room is perfectly sealed in the event of a chemical, biological or radiological attack*
*has earplugs handy in case of psychological attack*
*puts Barry Manilow CD in the machine ready to launch a counter-attack*
*covers shiny cylinder head covers in case of chromatological attack*
*checks make-up remover solvents in case of cosmetological attack*
*puts up umbrella in case of meteorological attack*
*tries to roll out the 'slap-on' rollaway steel punch cabinet but discovers that it is already ductaped to the bulkhead...pries open the 'shackleton' drawer and mixes swift rum punches for everyone...*
er...for medicinal purposes only...cheers...here's to your good health
