The actual pattern used in "Keeping up appearances" was Colcoough's "Braganza" pattern.

Easy...we GPS IT...
...*looks out through the rotating windscreen whizzer thingy at the worsening weather, muttering 'God, Please Stop us In Time'
...er we can always do the old 'handbrake turn' docking manoeuver by throwing out one of the anchors...
Why don't we worry about stopping when we know where we're going to stop? Where exactly are we headingding for?

If we throw out an anchor, how will that affect the evening news?

Ireland - generally. No-one was sober enough to be more specific than that. We are low on Irish Whiskey, only got a few dozen cases left.
Maybe we could show the helmsman this?

I do wish you hadn't said that about the pie Paul, it is nearly 2 o'clock in the morning here, much to late to go searching round for pie ingredients. Cherry pie, banoffee pie, apple pie and custard,
oh no - now I've got to sneak downstairs and find something sweet to eat, How can you tiptoe on a pirate ship? In these boots?

never mind the noise. there's usually all kinds of noises on a tall ship like this. the wind in the shrouds, creaking woodw*rk, s snoring and - er - whatnot
er, while you're down there anyway get us some pecan pie, will you?
