Ireland is famous for more than whiskey. Waterford, which makes fine china and crystal, is located there. Irish music and poetry and drama are world-famous.

smiley - bigeyes Oh thank you Paul - Waterford crystal is sooooooo beautiful. I'm sure I have room for a candelabra ( not as posh as the captain's diamond one to be sure, to be sure, to be sure)***

And a few new champagne flutes for my Roederer smiley - sigh

Lanzababy, I love you for that bone china remark! smiley - smooch

Pierce, the china with the handpainted periwinkles is not Royal Doulton, though some of the Royal Doulton factory outlet stores keep some pieces on hand so they can show shoppers who really made the pattern. I'm guessing that it's Royal Grafton.

Obsessed about china? Me? Why do you ask?

ah a fellow china collector - then you will love me even more when I tell you that my grandfather was a manager for Grafton china for many years - it really was very pretty ware.

hehehe, the royal doulton with the handpainted perriwinkles is fictional, yet often heard about in the british sitcom 'keeping up appearances'

i know it well, since the character onslow (couch potato) is a role model for me and a couple of friends smiley - biggrin
