>hey give him a chance....despite bein a banned user he can offer sum great values to this thread...altho doesnt get the chance cos he gets yikesed.....therefore makin u wonder y.....<
Could it be because as a banned researcher he is _not_ supposed to post on this site perhaps?!...
Maybe, just maybe, if he had kept quiet about his original identity his postings would still be visible...
>there was one valid point he made via me awhile back n it was yikesed...by who i dont know but im bettin that was a cover up as it wasnt him who posted but me<
But you _already_ know why the posting was modded as the reason for it was given to you a while ago if i remember well: we are _not_ allowed to post on behalf of a banned researcher...
>but u cant slate n yikes him for havin a soh....<
He is not being yikesed for his so-called sense of humour, he is being yikesed and modded because he is not supposed to post...
>makes me chickle actually sumtimes... n to think as soon as he steps in they all jump in n yikes it....<
Must be "their" day off today then as i can still see some of his postings...
>do ppl have nothin better to do...<
Obviously today "they" have...
loup.dargent
Well no cover up there, just the <./>HouseRules</.> being implemented

"throws at PC..."
Hmmmph... the last sentence after my name was supposed to have been cut out... and was certainly _not_ supposed to be at the end anyway...

n im allowed my opinion whether u agree or not....so y just come in to paste my posts n give ur thoughts on em....do i really wanna know what u think of my opinion?
i think hes cool...n think its petty with all this bann n yikes thing....thats all....n i dont care what ppl think of him its obvious form this thread theyre not gonna think same as me....
besides my opinions on him isnt important to this thread so y u need to pull me up each time is beyond me....
u wanna try concentratin when sum1 actually does decide to post summat relevant rather than stupid pointless stuff......

Localised Girl...
This thread is about discussing stuff isn't it?!.. so i discuss and comment on some of the postings... _nothing_ wrong with that...
Unless of course we were not supposed to contradict one of the categories... But that should have been made clear from the start...
I was re-explaining why some posts have been modded [some visitors to this thread not necessairily reading the backlog]... Your post was modded because of the fact that you posted on behalf of a banned researcher... you knew that before posting the question i commented on but you _still_ brought the idea of cover up into it... so that was not pointless as far as i'm concerned...
Perhaps next time i should ask your permission before daring post anything about your posts?!...

The <./>HouseRules</.> bit was not supposed to appear in my post as i _did_ explain in the following post...
But...
>so lets all follow the rules whilst remember the allegations of certain ppl breakin them ALLEGEDLY !!!!<
Agreed...

i know y it was yikesed AFTER i posted it....still think its petty to yikes it just cos i posted it for banned name
n no u odnt have to ask permission..u know that....am sayin u comment on all my posts as if im wrong all time...my opinion may be right or wrong to others so therefore y keep pointing out what u disagree with....we all have different opinions here so no ones expected to agree n stuff.....
besides...this is now a pointless debate....
im off to do sum stuff outside me pc.... (insert wavey stupid face here)

This thread has drifted back to Awol again.
Awol may have valid contributions to alot of threads but unfortunately he has waived his right to have them onsite because of his behaviour. (excluding any 'sense of humour' issues - his behaviour whilst on premod and suspension sealed that fate)
I suspect the reason his posts haven't been yikesed is because he would actually like them to be, as he sees it as a 'game'. I have more serious issues in RL than to join in.
Bringing it up is not going to add any weight to Vamps' points and may in fact detract from them because some researchers will not take them on their own merit but link them to Awol. I thought we had agreed that the Awol situation was irrelevant in this thread. Vamps agreed also.
I don't think there is ever anything wrong with an ongoing review of any rules/guidelines/codes of conducts, whether it be researchers or volunteers. (I expect the staff have there own internal review as part of their employment contract - like most organisations)
You will already be aware since the italic restructuring, that the process for recruiting volunteers has actually changed. Perhaps if you follow that thought through, then you may come to the conclusion that that the selection process may have been reviewed also, and the volunteer schemes on the whole have been looked at. I use the word *may* because that is my own conclusion.
However that doesn't deal with the allegations of Vamps feeling that some ACES have been seen to be taking advantage of their status.
What about my suggestion of monitoring them from now on and then reporting further misbehaviour here? I cannot reply for the staff and about any emails you have already sent. But if it is impossible to collate a list of links at the moment, then why not start from now and sooner or later, if these ACES are acting inappropriately then they will do it again.

You shouldn't be surprised, LG. It's just another example of the double-standards which infest this place. Officially sponsored people (underlines) are allowed to do all sorts of things like that and not be told off by the establishment or their peers. While state-sponsored targets (strike-outs) will be accused of all sorts of things - including being off-topic even when they are not. Anyone who points any of these things will also be attacked - usually by the underlines who really have been committing the offences (in this case the trivial etiquette ones of being off-topic and posting bookmarks).

So becouse i work night then i should
give my badge back becouse i can only catch up with messages on a everning or stay up all day so i dont say something that could be seen as a double standerd
