"at the time i thought it was a particularly unpleasant bluster from 1 of many people whom i didnt have any particular reason to respect anyway. however, given the rampant favouritism on this site, it is not beyond belief that the threat to get someone removed could indeed been carried out. someone certainly managed to get someone else removed on no eveidence at all a few months ago. so in theory it wouldnt be difficult for someone with insider knowledge, a nasty dispositon and the ear of the staff to manifacture or arrange for some 1-sided evidence that could be used as an excuse for banning someone.

the ace you cant recall coincidently is from 'LD' too, he had 'differences' shall we say back in LD days with the researcher, (for 1 reason or another which rightly or wrongly goes back a bit and they are still fresh in the minds of some researchers/aces on this site)
ooohh is it just me or is anyone else seeing a pattern here??

no it didnt happen on that occassion the matter was resolved and shortly after there was some 'name changes' onsite

incidently if anyone is bothered ? who said what about who concerning whatever in the aces forum, i still have, this would prove without a doubt, (as i cannot get into this forum myself can i), what im saying IS TRUE

yeah its petty alright but no matter how many times you explain something to others/behave in such a way as to contridict your own words by behaving in this way yourself, i.e. 'chatting', not all of the people on this site understand this is not a chatsite..im am not trying to exemplify myself here, we all do it, i just resent being told by somebody 1 thing when they themselves are doing the same thing

granted some of your posts are hard to understand, well i dont understand all of them anyway, but i dont think SEF said that did she..you responded to her post by answering to something else, perhaps if you are having trouble understanding something somebody has posted, you might try reading it again, might help with some of the big words..not that im in anyway trying to sound patronising, there are big words all over this site

perhaps the phrase keeps cropping up because justifiably so some people have strong feelings about the way in which some aces behave, remember the point of the thread?

i really dont think SEF is saying this at all! and you can hardly blame SEF for who uses/doesnt use this site, as far as im aware the bbc/h2g2 have some sort of policy that offers equal oppurtunities to everyone of all abilities as is clearly visible from what i have come across

we are aware that you helped the researcher with her page, that is not the issue and you knou know it!
you have explained why you have deleted threads on a previous page too and as you say nothing underhand about it, my issue is this, i put up 1 link to illustrate that in actual fact it is not true aces dont carry grudges from other sites, whether aces have explained it away or not, the posts in that thread clearly show you and another ace discussing other people from other sites and a problem that was had with them, now within 24hrs of me looking round this site, (including both your pages), your threads were unsubscribed to and i know there was examples on there cos i read them, i also went and read the same examples on your reseacher pals page too whom you have had access too
and as i said within 24hrs of me posting that original link from your page they had all gone from all of the relevant pages..i am not trying to suggest there is anything underhand about it, im saying the evidence, (or lack of it in this case), speaks for itself!

i havent hidden any posts or threads yes ive unsubcribed to some threads as ive explained

the reason for giving my old space was in answer to 's point about people unsubcribing and maybe it might help to resolve this matter or it might in some way help to find unsubscribed threads

i feel speaking personally this thread hasn't got any further forward i understand that had problems coming back online i think a lot of digibox users had the same problem

but to get back to the main "problem" if there is one ??

ive offered to find any threads that may or not prove 's point but as yet i cant find the "ones" she maybe referring to
