Maybe you could use the mathmatical symbol, like 2 or 3. I guess you say the number it represents anyway so it doesn't really work. Is beep not a word?

Beep is indeed a word which is why I used it in my word count. 2 and 3 are simply symbols for words....

Well, if you think about it, isn't anything written just a symbol for a word?

It would have to be either put it in a word, or counted as one. I guess.

Wasn't he just 'the Artist Formally Known as....' because of the symbol<?>

I believe he was "formerly" known as rather than "formally" known - and that it was a term coined by the media because the "symbol", although it could be reproduced in type could not be verbalised. I think adoption of the symbol was to deal with an unsatisfactory record contract.

If Warner Brothers had given him the proper respect to begin with, he might still be churning out multiple albums of stellar songs each year. Although, it certainly gave him a large target upon which to focus his anger.

It has been quite a while since I have posted anything of any value in this thread. I doubt this post will change anything.

True. True, true, true.
That is very true.
I can't believe how mindbogglingly true it is.
It's tue, you know.

It's amazing that words, although elsewhere so valuable, can be used here to such little effect. Time for change methinks ....

Part of the problem is that no one seems to really want to say anything too long. It’s more difficult to get it to the right length. Funny because on any other thread a forty six word long post would not be ridiculously big.
