I worry more about mortality than morality. I don't believe "bad" language has anything to do with morality. Violence is much more immoral that

I agree. It's like the fact that on TV and in films, sex is frowned on more than violence, when sex is motivated by love and violence by hate. Some people have got their priorities wrong.

Discuss or disgust?
I am disgusted that cruelty and violence are more acceptable than love and sex. Of course what really bugs me is how often sex is motivated by things other than love. Maybe the people in power are afraid of love?

Or maybe the people in love are afraid of power? Or Both..
Maybe the people in love with power are afraid?

This thread appears to have come to a complete standstill. How did that happen<?> Should I mention that I'm afraid of both power and love but never at the same time

Why worry about a subject? It will only fall victim to topic drift anyway. And if you want sense try elsewhere ...

Don't worry, you probably won't get any sense from me either.
What do you think about the discovery of water under the surface of Mars<?> Any probability of life on Mars coming in peace to enslave mankind, or is it more probable the green men will be from Jupiter's moons<?>

42 is the answer to life the universe and everything, It also happens to be the answer to various other things, is that why you chose it as the Word Count No.?Or do you have another reason? For choosing that Number?
[11]

Existential Elevator Posted Jun 13, 2002
That was exactly my reason, I'm afraid. Sad really, isn't it<?>

So ... is twenty-one the answer to only half of life's questions?
Or perhaps it answers "What is the meaning of li?"

Fred Smith Posted Jun 15, 2002
Logical I suppose, but if it’s only an answer to half of life’s questions then what is the answer to the other half? If that’s twenty-one as well then twenty-one must actually explain everything. At least if you duplicate it, I guess. I don’t understand maths.
I’ve been wondering, do smileys count as words here or are they just pictures?

Existential Elevator Posted Jun 16, 2002
yes, smilies are pictures
How many questions are there in the adveradge life<?> Do you think there is a different ultimate answer for a cat or a dog<?> Does that mean that 10.5 is the answer to a quater of the question<?> How can you give half an answer, anyway<?> Do numbers count as words<?>

How could numbers not be words? How would you say a number if it wasn't also a word, or two, or several? Perhaps you could just say Beep for one?
