You wouldn't be the first.
If you loiter around here long enough Clive, our Warlordly and airborne leader, will swing by, gabble you in and present you with your official , but you're welcome to join us elsewhere, if it takes your fancy.
Personally I'm finding it all too traumatic to have to contemplate 511 new No No No! posts. I only contemplate them, you understand, I don't read them. But it gets a bit repetitive bouncing into the thread in the middle of someone else's lunacy/nightmare/whatever and saying "hi everyone, I'm ignoring the backlog" YET again.
But don't let that put you off! As far is the name is concerned, should you wish to trawl through all the names, they're listed on The Roster on the main Manifesto page. I would suggest that the "all things ... inexplicable" bit might be contestable when you consider all the other madness that goes on here.
On the other hand, why bother with all the space lady stuff when your own name is pretty wacky?! I don't think we've got any Arisztid Lugosis yet. Related to Bela, I assume?

of course related to bela! (only on hootoo not in real life, i wish i really was) actually his name was really Arisztid Olt. but even though i didnt think anyone would make the connection, you'd be supprised how many people dont know who he is. and for those who did make the connection i didnt want them to think i was trying to impersonate him or anything equally silly. and anyway i like lugosi better than olt.i think its snazzier. but thats just my opinion. so do you like bela lugosi then?

I like "Bela Lugosi's Dead", a splendid 10 minute musical offering by Bauhaus that came out back in the early 1980s as far as I recall.
Still no Clive, I see...

He's dead, he's dead, he's dead!
Bela Lugosi, that is ... Clive's still kicking, as far as I know ... but very busy with his lady love in town ...

Well it had to be that or academic pressures - and lets face it, studying has never kept a warlord away from hootoo for long.
Lurv strikes again, eh?!
Nice to find a fellow fan of the classics, Shea!

Narapoia Posted Jul 12, 2004
No it must have been earlier than 86 cos I was playing it on student radio in 1984! (Oops, just revealing a bit too much about my vintage, methinks)
I have it on 12" vinyl but haven't played it for ages. Must dig it out and give it a spin.

hmm... sorry i guess i was wrong.
oh well. which album is it?
I want to join the Thingites!!
Narapoia Posted Jul 14, 2004
Dunno - hang on - *googles furiously* - well I think originally it was just a single (I only went on about it being a 12" to show off) but it has appeared more recently on the "greatest hits" album Crackle.

Arisztid Lugosi Posted Jul 15, 2004
oh1 and yeah... i think it was their first ever single...

Narapoia Posted Jul 21, 2004
Not sure about that but there was at least one album before that, if not 2. I was in exile in Germany in 1981 (masquerading as an English language assistant in a school - makes me twitch just thinking about it) and a kind friend sent me a tape of Mask & In the Flat Field to cheer me up.
Needing to more and trusting to the ever-reliable Google, I found this:
http://www.eraseronline.com/eolaud.php?SiteRef=bauhaus.html
which has a discography at the end and confirms that, yes, BL'sD was their first single, in 1979 beleive it or not.
Still don't think much of their version of Ziggy, though...
