Salt water taffy is candy, widely available at seashore resort areas.
Comes in all kinds of flavors, very sticky and chewy.

I must say, that certainly would not be *my* first choice.
I think something like orange or strawberry would be my likely first choice.

You don't like orange or strawberry? Or you don't like salt water taffy?

Actually, it was the licorice which made me go - I've never had salt water taffy as I've never been that side of the pond.

Licorice makes me go too. We have (or used to have) a thing called 'Black Jack gum'. It was chewing gum flavored like licorice and designed to turn your tongue black. Easily one of the most disgusting things I've never tasted.
Someone should set up an import/export shop. Hmm... maybe that's my way out of telecom.

I saltwater taffy...
Hm, it's light enough... Maybe I'll get around to sending some to some of my friends on the other side of the Pond...
(And Blackjack gum is still around)

I'm fond of the taffy... but as I live nowhere near the coast, my chances to get it are rare.

It's what we would call giving another driver "the finger"
