No, the fact that a nonbeliever was converted after proclaiming his nonbelieverness summons forth a heavenly Thingite light upon the thread of his refusal.

I read that entire thread.
Seemed rather repetitive...

I'll admit, I unsubscribed ... *shrugs*
And I also started to re-re-re-re-read N3 ... I just love the banter around Posts 45-46.

I think Amy+ may have just about changed her mind, too...

Someday if I'm really bored I might start reading 3N and counting how often each person has posted... if I'm really really bored...

I was re-reading the bit about twiddling the other night, among other early postings. That was wonderful ... especially when ER went spinning out of control, and of course, Shea's initial definitive guide! I think Amy started that somewhere around 4027 onward.
!
I have to admit that I've never posted the kind of gems you people wrote back then.

Yep, covered the banter around 45-46 as well. Who knew?
You know, if this thread is destroyed at some point by the powers that be ... won't it be like ripping up some of Mike and Elly's, TJ and Shea's, and Clive and Amy's love letters? I know I've prolly left somebody out -- sorry. But in essence, this thread has meant a *lot* to many of you. It's filled with friendship and .
I hope we don't ever lose it.

I unfortunately do not have the time to read the beginnings of this fateful thread... unless of course for example somebody really wanted me to

And I was sick at the time, so it was a rather nice distraction.
Anyway, that's all for me tonight... finished writing my first book and I'm working on finishing the second one...

Nah... the first one was a collection of poetry. And this one is me *needing* to finish a novel-type-thingie I started nearly (o my gosh! ) 4 years ago. I've taken too much time off from writing... it feels good to come home.

I'm certain that your adventures of late have sharpened your creativity.
There's nothing like a good dose of rest, vacation, and new vistas to do that. Heavy
ing doesn't hurt either.

I decided I'd had enough time away from things the other day, and finally did the collection thing. Edited several times, printed, all that. Almost good. In order to keep my eyes off it for a few days, I'm working on this weird story. If I'm lucky, I'll be mostly done by the time I get to the UK.
And if I'm not... it'll give me something to do on the flight till my laptop batteries die.
