h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

[YK uses the Force to steady the elevator. Then he summons Bahamut Zero to hover under it and keep it steady. Bahamut Zero breathes a blast of fire at Yo. Well, he SAID "Find out NEXT post!"!]

*The heroes survive this by not being inside the elevator, with the exception of Penguin. How he survives will be revealed soon. Affy, meanwhile, wonders why on Earth his Cleesh spell is suddenly failing to make people stay amphibians/lizards all of a sudden, but is really too concerned with Starman Jones to worry about it further. Affy shoots SJ with his OmeGauntlet set to "Polka Gun-The Chicken Dance!"*


SJ, you're aware of the function of most of my weapons, right?

I don't think he is.

* the penguin survives the hail of bullets by jumping up to the top of the lift, climbing out through the emergency exit hatch and making his way a few metres up the shaft. He does this very quickly of course, but several bullets still strike glancing but relatively insignificant hits *

*UH, who also happens to know how properly to wield continuity, unsheaths his claws with a wolverine-style *schingk!* noise. He stands, amidst the carnage, and beckons to Starman*

(*Reflects Affy's shot off his gunblade and hits the wall. Jones lands in a crouch, pulls out his sawed-off shotgun and fires 2 shots at Uncle Heavy's head. He then beckons for Uncle Heavy*) JUST BRING IT!!

[Link puts on his Deku Mask and starts shooting bubbles at the back of SJ's head.]

(*Bubble hit the back of Jones head, he ignores them*)

* the penguin climbs back down the lift cable, sneaks up to Starman Jones and drops a dried herring down the neck of his jumper/shirt/whatever before running away again terribly quickly *

*WM finally gets the nerve to join the others in the hall. She finds a spot to hide and makes sure she's got a long darning needle in each hand, although she doubts they will be of any use. She notices the herring slip down Starman Jones collar and stifles a giggle. She suspects that that is no ordinary herring.*

She's right - it's not an ordinary herring. It's a dried herring.

[Link turns back into his normal self and fires a Deku Nut at the back of SJ's head with his slingshot]

*Affy casts the Espnis spell (induced sleep) at all of the villaind in the forum, and notices the damaged elevator*

Krebf!

*The damage to the elevator quickly begins repairing itself*

Ok people,(*reaches down his back and pulls out the herring from his shirt*) Link, cut the #$%^ before I put a hole in your skull! Penguin Boy, same rules appy(*throws the herring at him*). Witty Moniker, I bet your a CHOPPERS, so I'm gonna' give you a 1 count...1! (*pionts sawed-off shotgun at her and fires a shot*)*click* click* #$%^! Out of Ammo! #$%^ it, I'll worry about it later.(*turns and looks at MaW*) As for you...(*stands silently in the circle of people, a humming noise is heard as the Lighthawk Wings form in front of him, laughs softly*)NOW lets have some fun!! (*The Lighthawk Wings take some of Affy's attack(about 25%), but most gets through to Jones(about 75%) Swings gunblade for the head chop, slowly*)

(*community*) I have sawed-off shotgun(which is now out of ammo now), a gunblade, and a set of goggle(which are useless in battle anyway)and I'm all most knocked out by Affy's cheap shot, so cut me some slack with the Lighthawk Wings, ok?*)

Okay, sure. But just for the record, WM isn't a member of CHOPPERS. She's here because of her experience in previous adventures. There are more forces of good than the superheroes, after all.


*Affy watches amused at SJ's groggy appearance, and turns to watch the elevator finish repairing itself*

Okay, I think we're all here, except for GL. Soon as he shows up, make a break for it.

*Affy wonders what the wings are supposed to do*

* the penguin looks at the Lighthawk Wings *

[Penguin] Ooo yes, very pretty m'laddybuck.

* he waits expectantly to see what they're going to do *


The Penguin isn't a member of CHOPPERS either, he's here as an independantly-acting member of the Ministry of Magecraft, formerly the Ministry of Evil, to help ensure the OmegaMatic's destruction, which is contrary to the Ministry's plans for universal domination (which have now been reduced to mere plans for ensuring the continued safety of the universe and the members of the Ministry in particular)

And on top of that, I'm not sure MaW's here, either.

*UH stalks forward. he bows to Starman, who aims a kick at his head. UH sidesteps this, and drops into fighting stance*
Guys, you make a break, and I'll cover your backs and wait for GL

OOC: if penguin and/or WM would like, I shall put their names down on the CHOPPERS allies register...

*GL runs into the hallway to find all the heros tapping their toes, looking at their watches, twiddling their thumbs and performing various other bored-and-waiting-type activities in between dodging and fighting.*
