Heck I dunno, but 2000 posts in 365 days seems pretty busy to me. That's an average of six posts per day.
I'm planning one reading the backlog at a rate of 20 posts per day. So I should be caught up in ...uhm .. ..maybe mid July? Just in time for and

did we have a singalongamassacre? the bouncing ball that means business? Please tell me it ain't so. Tom is singing 'Romeo is Bleeding' at me at 2.30 am I am already scared. Luckily I have this handy hip flask-anyone?
Admittedly Rhubarb and spinach brandy is not everyones cup of....alcohol, but, well...
*feels bad, scratches head, contorts to represent the mexican flag, but that's just for fun,and slinks off*
Maybe later?

"Romeo Is Bleeding" is such a great song that I will forgive you for slandering the cheese.
*pulls the IFP down off its hook and gets out the processed cheese-like food slices and the bread*
The posts come in bursts. A frantic to-and-froing of activity and then everybody goes away and takes a nap. It's how we know they are true BOFs.

The builders have almost finished re-roofing my cottage, so if you could just run off another couple of dozen of your famous grilled cheese sarnies, Lil ........

*puts away the foot pump after re-inflating the temp barkeeper, which now sports bandaids in some peculiar places, then pockets the remote*
It will behave itself now.
*gets on with frying cheese sandwiches*

>> "Snausages!" The scrumptious, bite-sized snack that's fun to treat. Your dog will love the meaty taste and the cute sausage shape. The 12 ounce Value Size contains Beef and Cheese Snausages. Also available in Bacon & Cheese and Beef flavors.<<
They're extremely pongy. I thought s were supposed to have sensitive noses.
OTOH what can you expect from creatures that enjoy rolling in rotten salmon?

IctoanAWEWawi Posted Apr 20, 2003
Rotting salmon? My you have posh dogs round your way!
Round here they mostly roll in cow sh*t!

Asteroid Lil - Offstage Presence Posted Apr 20, 2003
Do you mind? I'm cooking for the new customer. No more talk of sh*t, you'll make him think the place has no tone.

Tefkat Posted Apr 21, 2003
Aha! I knew I had a tuning fork lying around somewhere.
You want tone Lil?
One year ago today
raindog Posted Apr 21, 2003
Is this perhaps not the lilting tone of Mr Spooner? A toneting Lil? If I may a pint of Veritable Weedwhacker, if it's on song, and a jigger of Wild and Wooly,to be chased by the earlier? And some of that rotten salmon if there's any fresh. Quiet tonight? The hounds bowel disorder causing that fug?

*Borrows the tuning fork and strikes it smartly on the bar. The currently-being-grilled cheese sarnie begins to resonate alarmingly.*
*Silences the fork, and peers at the inscription thereon.*
This is an old one - A at 432 Hertz. You'll need to shave a bit off the edge of the sarnie to bring it up to concert pitch (440) .

*quickly transfers the grilled sandwich to a plate and holds it down with a lengthwise slice of dill pickle, then starts another*
Who ordered the first sandwich?
And when did they change A? I thought it was always 440.
