" dont want to b who i was....", you say... the answer: Get addicted to H2G2.Really addicted, like 3-5 hours a day. Worked for me. Though not on purpose...

i'm pretty sure you're addicted... or were. If so, did it help?

Oh well, thats how depression works, you are depressed and unhappy more often than happy. It actually stop you from enjoying life though, you have to keep going. Thats what I am doing anyway.

I don't consider myself to be depressed although life isn't always great - I don't think it is for anyone. However, I do go through negative patches, like everyone, I suppose. I've always found that the only way to get through these is to go out and do something that I enjoy, even if it's just going for a walk in the sunshine (or the rain), reading a good book or going and making a serious sandwich.
Try to find things that you can look forward to; if there aren't any, invent one and make it happen. There's a lot to be said for setting targets. It could be a personal target, like learning how to do something or beating a personal best (sporting or otherwise).
And post, and post, and post! Use your journal to talk about things, both good and bad. Use if to offload some of the stress - type out what's giving you grief and it might seem less. Don't get abusive, don't get aggressive - just put down the facts. Over time, you'll see how the worst things pass by and how every situation is transient. Try to focus on ways to solve problems or diminish their effects, rather than on the problems themselves. Tell yourself you're going to get through things, even if you don't believe that you are. That way, it'll come as a pleasant surprise when you eventually do.
