Two Bit Trigger Pumping Moron Posted Jun 25, 2001
Interesting.
I actually have very little experience with violence even though I'm a war veteran and police officer. I've been in only one fight since I was 14. I was out of the room when it started.
I'm ambivlent towards its use. Although, I don't like the idea of innocents being harmed. Hence my chosen profession. Five years later, I'm not sure if there are any innocents.
>I suspect that you're either confident in your self identity, full of self doubt, or oscilate between the two.
I'm really curious about where this came from.

Including 'two bit' and 'moron' in your name suggests self flagelation. I figure that's either because you believe you deserve it, or your self confident enough that you can jokingly put yourself down.

Don't worry Two Bit Trigger Pumping Moron, people frequently get names wrong. Some people think I'm female, for instance. Which is just sooooo wrong.
I figured you might very well be a police officer though. Good on you! And you're right, there are no innocents - or at least, very very very few of them. There are some, though, who are more innocent than others.

The name itself is a quote from the radio series refering to cops.
My opinion on innocents only really applies to people that cops come into contact with. I'm a little jaded, but most decent folks will never have a problem with violent crime. Most victims that we come into contact with are just perps who didn't do anything this time.

I think it likely that there are some people who by skating the edge of the law, or skimming the other side of it, make themselves more likely to become victims of more serious crime - does that follow?
Perhaps this isn't the best thread to have this discussion in. Want to continue it somewhere else?

Fascinating stuff! Would anyone care to analyse mine somewhere down the line of quietly waiting folks?
kats-eyes is the usual, aka: kt, AskUncleDanInc., alterEcho, quench and Jigs or Jixter.
(I do like the name Ommigosh - sounds like "Oh my God!" mixed with "gosh!" - and naturally, I'm all wrong about it)

An Agnostic is someone who either A>Isn't sure if any Gods exist or not. or B> has an opinion on the matter but recognises that the existence or nonexistence of God(s) is unprovable.

Well, My user name is Seproth.
I am known elsewhere, by many names. But this is the best. I am known as Flame, Animie Chick and more. But Seproth is the best. Seproth is evil. EEEVIL. (not uncommonly nice, but almost definitely evil. Yep, that's moi.)
Could you analyse my name?

This looks interesting..
Would someone care to analyse my name?
I'm Rupert the Observer, a few weeks ago I was Rupert of Rupert. Elsewhere on the net I'm Chrisse with all the possible equivalents.
How about these?

What's neopagan? I would love to hang out in the country all the time with the animals, very true, but unfortunately I haven't much choice. Good job on that.
How about these?
Siletta Weaver, Keeper of exsessively long titles, Eclectic Mystic, Cynic, etc.. Posted Jun 30, 2001
Basically a Neopagan is a follower of an Earth based religion, such as Druidism, or Wicca. There's more to it than that, but it's too complicated to explain here.
Rupert might be....
Ommigosh Posted Jun 30, 2001
This is my first go at analysing a name. Hope that is OK.
"Rupert of Rupert" suggests to me a largish male, probably about 40 years old who likes to thought of like a big cuddly teddy bear (suggested partly by the historical children's character Rupert The Bear) and who has a need to feel loved. Sociable, laid back and with a quiet laconic sense of humour. Doesn't take himself overly seriously and is mostly harmless. Possibly dresses in nice colours and smells of soap all the time (sorry if it is not rue but it is what is coming into my mind).
The "of Rupert" bit suggests a love of tradition, and hints at mild delusions of grandeur in a fun sort of way.
"the Observer" bit suggests someone who is still looking for something but he is not quite sure exactly what. Feels sometimes that life is passing him by.
The alternative name of Chrisse and multiple variants thereof suggests that you are not altogether comfortable revealing too much of your true self to others and have a mild form of what used to be called an identity crisis.
All in all a nice guy who enjoys attention.
How did I do?

Hi Kats-eyes (aka: kt, Jigs, Jixter, quench. alterEcho, AskUncleDanInc)
Thanks for liking my nickname, by the way!
I am new to this analysing but your names are mostly short and snappy (apart from the UncleDanInc one which is probably just a fun thing or a family joke in some way) so I guess you are young (well below 20 when the names were made up) , fast, modern, energetic, technophilic. Jigs and Jixter sound full of energy and mischief,-are you a bit of a practical joker?
I would have said that you were female if it wasn't for the UncleDan bit.
I just love the alterEcho one. You are good with words and maybe good at problem solving.
How was that?
Rupert might be....
Becerikli Posted Jun 30, 2001
I would say that you got me covered quite well on most parts.
Rupert in fact is a largish male, though I'm "only" 27. I hate being called a teddy bear, even though I get that sometimes. Rupert the Bear I'm unfamiliar with. The name came from Mostly Harmless. When I found the name analysis page I thought about it a little and maybe unconsciously chose the name because I'm quite reserved around people I don't know and a little distant (Rupert being the most distant planet, right behind Pluto ). I also agree to your opinion on the Observer, that is also true. Mostly I dress in blue, green and black.
I don't take myself seriously and I am mostly harmless, with my quiet laconic, sometimes sarcastic sense of humour.
I'd say I'm usually a nice guy. I definitely don't like attention. Attention makes me blush and I hate that.
Oh, and Chrisse comes from my middle name which is Kristian. I would have preferred it to be Christian but now it's a bit too late and changing a name is just too much trouble and not worth the effort. Chrisse is the Finnish nickname form from Christian.
All in all, I'd say you did very well. Cheers, thanks a lot!
